NO...your houses are not designed to hold the HEAT in.  They are simply insulated...just like ours.  When we  have our AC set to heat, the insulation helps keep the heat in.  When we have our AC set to cool...the insulation helps to keep the cool in. Our insulated homes do the same thing.  If you Brits would just get AC in your homes, which you definitely could do, you would not be hot in the summer...end of discussion. And before someone says you can't get them or they're too expensive or your windows are designed for them....you can buy a mid size portable AC for about 300 to 500 pounds, such as a Honeywell HX series, that will cool your largest rooms for years and years to come.

2:26 - Do people actually listen to these girls..? I've never heard anybody complain about AC so much... 🤨
Even 95 degrees sounds nice. Back in 2024 here in Az, we had 113 days IN A ROW that were over 100 degrees... and in 2023 we had 31 days IN A ROW over 110...

My favorite thing about the "you guys have AC so you have it easier" argument is that it's based entirely on the idea that when it's hot Americans just....never leave the AC. Like guys...there's still work to be done. There's still people working outside - farmers, construction workers, first responders, etc. You still go out and hike, swim, garden, exercise. The nice thing is that after you've been out in the heat all day you get to come back inside to the AC, drink some ice water, and cool off (also assuming you HAVE AC). There's some places in rural or poor areas that do NOT have AC. A large section of the midwest in the US is an ACTUAL desert. It's also not the flex Europeans think it is that both of our countries experience heat but apparently only one felt the need to actually do something about it - just saying.

They keep saying Texas and Florida.  Do they not realize it's most states. Starting from the West...California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and so many other states all get over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. There are a few states that don't have at least some areas that get really hot in the middle of the summer, but not many. Plus many of those states that get that hot, also have freezing winters on the opposite end of the extreme.

10/2/26 and it's still 90F in Virginia. 70 in London. UK summer lasts what? 2 months at best?

The irony is your grand and great grand fathers DO! know what real heat is like.  Those who fought in the deserts of North Africa and the steaming jungles of South Asia, during WWII.

Not all Americans have air conditioning.
As a European you cannot tell Americans anything about America.  Just because we have air conditioning doesnt mean we dont know what "hot " is.
My question to y'all is, why dont you have air conditioning?

These girls at four minutes in or so, you know the one thing that people don’t realize is not everybody is privileged in America. There’s a lot of people who can’t afford air-conditioning and a lot of times with our government, which was not under Donald Trump, but the previous administrations and the Blue states, they steal from Social Security and such and the people don’t get taken care of a lot of people die in the heat. It’s too much and then they have no access to heat or maybe electricity.

These gals are really upsetting  complaining, saying that we don’t struggle. You have no idea what people go through. We don’t wear it on our sleeve and complain to everybody about struggles, we move through it. We grow through it, but you sound like selfish little high school girls. All angry that you don’t have privilege. Get over yourselves, do something, change it, you can do that. You don’t have to live in the environment you were born into. If you sit here complaining about how horrible it is for you and how great it is for us in America, carry your weight do something different.

Quit complaining because nobody is going to listen to you like that if that’s how you carry yourself in communities. If there’s a real problem, we’re gonna help you out through it. We are all in this together. But if you keep your mouth shut and you don’t communicate with other people and all you do is complain and be negative about how somebody else has something better than you instead of bringing something about yourself to the table , it brings a lot of negativity in our own world. You can’t be blessed when you’re inside are ugly and self focused .

We want people to be proactive and strive to be better, enjoy every little blessing. If you can’t do that stay home stay in the heat and complain, but don’t bring it here, that’s basic ignorance. It really is ugly look at, no matter how pretty you are, it makes you look ugly and bitter.

I don’t know how you guys afford the travel because it’s expensive I mean just to do a weekend trip for a three day mini vacation. All the white water rafting, zip lining boating, ATV, you have to have resources to do all that.  A lot of people do have a healthier lifestyle and yet the BRITs think we’re all fat. We don’t have that kind of a lifestyle that some other people might have of overindulgence.

When it comes to our flags, our budget probably goes higher for our flags than any weekend trips. We go through about 16 to 20 flags a month and they do cost money but my husband’s a long-haul trucker and he goes through 4 a week, or more because people do steal them as well. I just finished watching a video on our American flag, so that’s why I mentioned that.

But if you have respiratory or health issues, you need to have the air-conditioning or you’re going to die and I noticed that you guys have a higher death rate for heat then we do, but we have the opportunity to use air conditioning if we have one, and most of us do, but some people only have a little cooler in their window and they have to add water to it or something. I don’t know how that works but we try to stay cool so we can function at a higher gear than being exhausted from having the life sucked out of us from the heat.

These two girls sound a little bit jealous, even though they made them up for it at the end of their little storytelling. Get motivated meet people don’t be afraid just move forward in your life and live it. We only have one life. If you’re living in fear or  restrained, and you don’t invite people into your conversations, then you’re going to be alone and you will waste of a whole lifetime by just being quiet so you don’t offend anybody, or get offended.

Life is too short and lonely if you don’t do your best and integrate with people. Assimilate to where you are and do the best you can do, be the best you can be. If you live in fear of integrating with people, you’re going to have missed opportunities because everybody is tied to everybody else one way or another, We love the energy of people who love our country, but anybody who condemns us, we don’t have to open that door.

You get blessed a thousandfold. If you live in fear you’ll die alone without having accomplished anything you wanted to do in life.

So if you don’t like somebody else being privileged, you’re not going be happy here anyway, because we all want to help each other. If you have negative comments like that, we just shut it out, but not without saying something first.

Pretty will only get you so far, the pouting about the way it is in your homeland, instead of trying to make it better. Work harder being entrepreneur, make some extra money, buy an air conditioner and live the best life you can live. You don’t have to spend thousands to have a better life. There’s always people who want to help you succeed.

You don’t serve anyone well if we have to carry weight for people who can’t do anything for themselves. Don’t wait for Life to happen to you or let other people drive your life. Take the wheel.

My first summer job was tending masons in south Alabama. We have entire weeks when the temperature is 90F - 95F during the day with heat indexes ranging from 110F - 115F.
