I already had the live edge walnut, tho prob just 30 bucks a piece or so ($60 total) and some of the screws (hardware- but it didn't take much). Underlayment 1/4 in. ply: $26 each x 2, Birch ply 1/2 inch (Kitchen and opposite side cubby/deep well and shelf): 70 bucks. I had all the material for the nailers on the floor and walls from another project, tho probably would have cost less than 15 bucks (Handful of 6' 1x4's ripped in half). The heavy duty adhesive was about $12 a piece (x2), USB water pump: 12 bucks. Wool insulation was expensive and only used less than half a box, $250. I'll sell the rest on FB Marketplace and get a lot of my money back! I had scrap 1/2 ply lying around though if you had to buy it (probably need only 1/2 sheet, would be about 20-25 bucks.) Tongue and groove x 2= $40. Laminate flooring box x 2 = $55. Curtain material: $10. Foil insulation roll x 2=$55, foil tape: $5). Tube regular construction adhesive = $8. The vinyl decals for the outside was about $75, tho could do without, as well as the black painted hood, which just adds $16 for the 2 cans of paint, and $8 for the tight line tape I bought. (Again not crucial to the build out.) Add a couple paint brushes and spar urethane= $35, and some sanding discs= $12.

So considering I'm going to sell the rest of my wool insulation, I'm around $500 bucks with this build- especially if you don't include the vinyl decals! The big savings here is I did it myself and really only used plywood- which is affordable. Even the beautiful birch plywood, considering you can get really stupid with custom "van build" components out there. As long as you have an imagination, some time, and a vision, anyone can do this and customize it to their liking in a very affordable way!

I already had my cot, sleeping bag, bucket toilet, and lastly, my Dometic Fridge (which is about the price of this entire build ALONE!) But a cooler with ice will work too~

Life Pro Tip:   For anything in a auto interior panel that you "don't know how to get off,"   there is always a clip on the back of some sort. They don't mold the parts into the plastic. It's always clips.

Trick for those vinyl laminate decals are to spray the side of your van with soapy water, and then squeegee it out that way you can adjust it and move it around without sticking where you don’t want it and causing bubbles. Back in the day, my dad had a body shop and he helped people put Trans Am decals on their hood after they messed up

I stopped following you when I became homeless.   A friend said to me that I could move onto her place (3 1/2acres) and build myself a home.  I was sick and a lot of last year I spent in a wheelchair,  but I did the main build of my home under 30 Sq meters so no permits were needed.  
Sometimes when I go away I sleep in my car but had to be mindful how I can convert it back to a car easily, without taking out the bed, so I can still have child car seats in it for the great grandchildren.
You've given me great ideas because I would like to get an ex ambulance (probably a sprinter because I know that have ultra comfortable seats - ex paramedic speaking now) and I still have to make sure I don't end up full time in a wheelchair.   Thank you

Girl, you are so inventive and creative. It blows my mind to take a van tear out the guts in the back and then restructure it the way you want it. You are ingenious.

So my son surprised me 2 years ago with a 2002 astrovan conversion that a young couple had done, and they did a great job. Not quite as minimalist as yours , but it's got everything I need, and I am so comfortable to travel in it. They really are great! ❤

The wet by your back doors is from your seals common problem with dutch doors. Check your door seals. Oh, awesome job !
