Namaste 🕉️

" Hangovers and strangers in your bed" Hahahahaha 🤣. Love it!

I really love this new style with the inspiring voice over. You can tell these words are really spoken from your heart.

"Fear isn't always a warning, Fear can be an invitation into something larger than the life you have been unconsciously repeating.  And when you accept that invitation, even once, you remember something important. You were never stuck , you were just waiting to choose."

That, right there Wayne is some magic with words. Well said. You are doing something really amazing here.

Keep going buddy 👍

You're the David Attleboro of Indonesia ♡

Those narrations in the videos are great . You should write a book on it all

I just returned from Bali yesterday and I already want to go back. I really relate to this, I went to Bali and travelled Indonesia for months and years in my late teens and early twenties. Spent time in Mamuju, Makassar, Kalumpang, Bandung, Malang, Jakarta, Bali. In the last 8 years I have only been back twice as I now have family  and work commitments. But the pull never leaves me. I am working towards early retirement so I can relive my time in Indonesia. I am so surprised at how much of the language  has stayed with me. I was fluent then and still close to fluent now, but it only really comes back when I am there and I surprise myself with how much I remember and how easy it is to converse with the Indonesian people. Thanks for this video, it has really helped to reconsider my priorities in life!

One of the best videos I've seen mate, capturing the essence of returning to a place you care about.

I remember watching the last episodes of Anthony Bourdain travel shows and thinking what a craft he had refined it to. That is how I feel watching your last several videos Wayne.

Living your dream… if it makes you happy just stay grand philosophical fiasco

I absolutely love your videos. Thank you so much😊😊

4:00 it’s funny listening to the guy talk about his friends in Perth (originally Melbourne). It reminds me of one of the waiters that worked in a resort I stayed at in Nusa Dua back in 2001. Young guy, probably about 20 - fully Balinese, strong accent but fairly good English.

Anyway, he asked me where I was from…
“London - England”
“nice. What part?”
“Oh, a place called Sudbury Hill - Greenford”
“I know it well - I grew up in Rayners Lane.”

For context- these are two tiny towns in a not-globally famous, unimpressive London suburb.

I couldn’t believe it. I’m on the other side of the world talking to a young Balinese guy who basically grew up at the end of my road…

“Really?”

To which he and all his friends burst into laughter!

“Of course not!”

I guess this guy had memorised the London Underground tube map and this was his party trick. Whatever the London tourist says, he picks an adjacent stop and says he’s from there. Whether he could do the same with other western cities, I never found out. 😂

Nailed it Wayne 💯👌
I was also 18 when first overseas trip to Bali
Now 66 and still draws me back
Nothing quite like a Balinese smile
And the sense of freedom over there

My fiance just moved to bali from jakarta. I went and visited in 2026 for the first time. I loved every second, best week of my life. The chaos of denpasar was stunning, even though i was just passing through. The central mountain lakes were like a fantasy. The northwest coast where I spent my week was literally life changing. I was ready to leave my life behind and stay.

Enjoyed this video and commentary.

I have just retired here on my own at 68 from a lovely part of Australia and never going home.  During difficult times it has always been the people that have kept me going. Learning the language is a challenge but so important to me and to be a part of their culture.  I am glad you are back Wayne.

I love this Wayne.  I am risk averse but need to widen my horizons!  'The life you have been unconsciously repeating' Yes!  Bali has welcomed you with open arms!  Lovely, kind people. 😊

I’m glad I found this video.  I’m glad I found your channel.  Back not in Bali but back to Thailand next week and this reminds me, again, to look for, and enjoy the small things.  Thank you.  I first visited Thailand married & safe and now I return, unmarried & uncomfortable.

Oh Wayne, this is exellent. Again. I’m 60. I’m almost flabbergasted. You touch so much important stuff! ❤

"What if the cost of avoiding that small moment of fear is a slow steady drift into a life you never consciously chose?" Gems Wayne, you're spittin' out gems... #10
