Doug's mother used to be an opera singer, so it's likely that she taught Doug (and maybe his brother as well) how to sing and project his voice.

9:43 RIP Tim Curry

YES!! Welcome to the rabbit hole! You've got quite the interesting mix of experiences ahead of you, and I hope you enjoy 'em all.

Doug Walker, Thatguywiththeglasses, has been actively making movie reviews and videos since 2007.
God, I feel old.

In honor of Tim Curry's recent passing, your next Nostalgia Critic reaction should be NC's review of Muppet Treasure Island.

I'd recommend his review of Barbie and the Nutcracker if it was closer to Christmas.

He has 19 commercial review specials and counting, one for every year he's been doing this.  You've got a lot to pick from.

The yearly tradition of Nostalgia Critic’s COMMERCIALS!!!!!

Ya, another rabbit hole to explore! Yeah Doug is a very old man, he makes jokes about it too.

Rest in peace Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, and Peter Cullen! I absolutely love the Nostalgia Critic’s Commercial Specials and watch them every year that he posts them here on YouTube. Just you wait until you watch the next three or four. You’ll absolutely love them nearly as much as i do. Honestly my favorite cereals 🥣 are Cinnamon Toast Crunch followed very closely by Frosted Flakes.

33:04: Take it from a 90s kid, Ecto Cooler was the best Hi-C flavor ever. Some folks will try to low-ball and gaslight you into thinking that it is just Orange Lava-burst dyed green, but it isn't. In the 90s, having an Ecto-cooler, a Pizza Lunchable and a Zebra cake in your lunchbox ment you were the coolest kid at the elementary school lunch table.

The commercial reviews were one of the first videos that got me into the nostalgia critic. They were always my favorites

31:38 the Micro Machine Guy was actually in Transformers 1984 Classic Series and a 1986 animated movie after the show and he played a fast autobot character named “Blurr” and he also talks really fast as well😆

You’re the first VTuber to ever officially react to the Nostalgia Critic honestly

36:55 Barbie was started around the 50's, but many fashion dolls existed long before Barbie. As well as baby dolls.

If you think love hotels are freaky, Nintendo also had arcade instillations where you shot clothes off the onscreen women. Still waiting for that to show up in Pikmin

Oh man I remember the reason he did the first Commercial Special Video. He reviewed My Pet Monster and "called the director of said film"

I see that KacyFaeVT is going further down the Nostalgia Critic rabbit hole

0:15 that was his original name I been watching his videos before it was renamed channel awesome

I keep forgetting that there were kids younger than me.  Where does the time go man?  I remember seeing the golden age of Nickelodeon.

The thing about the whole: “Before Barbie the only thing girls had for toys was Baby dolls” is actually false. Historical revisionism created by Mattel to mythologize and elevate their brand against their preexisting competitors. It’s more complicated than that and I’m pretty sure there’s whole YouTube videos and even documentaries about it. But long story short…Barbie’s lying to you…
