We Drove a Tuk Tuk Across Laos in this 5-Hour Travel Documentary movie. We bought a tiny tuk tuk in Laos and set ourselves the ridiculous challenge of driving it around the entire country during the worst time of the year - the rainy season.
This 5-hour Laos travel documentary follows our journey from Vientiane, travelling North through some of the most remote and spectacular parts of Laos before eventually making our way back down through the country to Southern Laos. Along the way we visit almost every major region of Laos — covering Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang, Nong Khiaw, Oudomxay, Luang Namtha, Bokeo, Phonsavan and many more places, before heading back south through Laos towards Thakhek, Savannakhet, Pakse, Champasak, Don Det (4000 islands) and the Bolaven Plateau loop.
We drive through remote mountain roads, tiny villages, jungle, countryside and some of the most incredible landscapes in Southeast Asia, while trying to keep a tiny tuk tuk alive over thousands of kilometres and during the monsoon season. From the famous tourist destinations to undiscovered hidden gems in Laos, this is our attempt to experience as much of the country as possible from behind the wheel of a tuk tuk.
