Sebastian's story was more gripping than the main quest ngl
I kept playing the main quest just to continue with Sebastian's story

The amount of times I already tried to kill that uncle before Seb did 🤣

There's a very simple reason why Sebastian and Ominis are two of the best characters with the most compeling (though predictable and rushed) story. They're both allowed to have flaws. There was potential in Poppy with her poacher backgroud but it was quickly dropped without anything, Natty is perfect, wise, brave and somehow my friend after a single class, then she forcefully saves our life because we stupidly decided to turn our back on a criminal who still had his wand in his hand.

If Harry can become an auror after casting 6 unforgivable curses with 4 being successful, then Sebastian doing 1 measly killing curse is no big deal.

Sebastian is the definition of a Slytherin. He is ambitious and cunning by using us for his goals. But in the end he is a ture friend.

I think what sealed the deal for me is the shrivelfig, Sebastian shows it to his sister and Anne is excited to at least try it. Solomon instead grabs the shrivelfig, says it's absolutely pointless to even try, and then destroys it...

Why? Why do such a cruel thing?

Solomon was not a caring uncle, he was a burdened angry hypocrite content to let Anne suffer a horrible death because he gave up.

"Is it better to stand by and do nothing, when there's even a slither of a chance to save her?"

Albert Camus has a relatable quote about this which goes as follow:

"I have always held that, if he who bases his hopes on human nature is a fool, he who gives up in the face of circumstances is a coward."

sebastian is the only character i felt the player was actually friends with. ominis always seems like a friend of a friend bc out lack of one on ones. poppy seems like a school friend you wont talk to outside of class and natty seems like a random student i talked to once that wont stop acting like we’re lifelong friends.

If most Aurors were like the Uncle Voldemort would have won before even learning about the prophecy😂😅

"A spell that could save your life shouldn't be unforgivable." Sebastian did everything to save his sister, not many people have family willing to go so far.

What struck me about that first exchange between Sebastian and Solomon was the "Look what you've done". Like... he knows perfectly well these episodes are totally random, as Anne later on explains to us. He just said it because he knew it would hurt Sebastian. How messed up is that?

Also, I noticed that after that scene where Sebastian uses imperio to save Anne, when you go back to Feldcroft, there's a lock on the door to their house. You literally have to use alohomora to get inside, and Anne's just chilling by the table drinking tea as usual. Solomon has issues.

It’s nice to see another with the view that being a Slytherin doesn’t make you automatically evil and neither does the use of dark magic

Yes, using the killing curse is unforgivable. No exception, period.
Next time, make sure to transform Solomon into a barrel and yeet him at one of the inferies or even better, at one of the goblins. Because their blood is on Ranrok's hands!

I wish we could comfort Sebastian, tell him he did his best. He was and is my favourite character in the game. Thank you for this video.

I related to Anne a lot as someone with multiple chronic illnesses that have left me disabled for a majority of the time. Seeing how Solomon treated her actually made me take a step back from the game to cool off because I was so livid. Like another commenter said, he was waiting for Anne to die from her curse.  Not only that, but he continually blames Sebastian for Anne's flare ups when they are completely random, and since its been happening for some time, Solomon knows this and still says what he does to Sebastian. It's cruel.

I don't blame Sebastian. If any of my family was suffering in that way I'd fight like hell and do absolutely everything to stop them from being in pain constantly. My family did fight like hell to get me answers for what was happening to me-- and without them I wouldn't have survived mentally. Being in physical pain is hard enough-- but having nobody in your corner is what breaks you.

😂

Honestly liked the sebastian storyline more than the main storyline. Shame the companions have no involvement in the climax of the game.

39:30 😱 Why are Ravenclaws the only ones getting backhanded here?!? 🤔😅

The actions of Solomon Sallow suggest that he has unresolved issues from his past and is taking out his bitterness on his nephew Sebastian. Additionally, it is apparent that Solomon possesses manipulative tendencies, a closed-minded approach to finding a cure for Anne's illness, and even psychopathic behaviour. These traits are reminiscent of narcissistic individuals who often manipulate their victims to meet their own needs.

The minute that guy looked at me in the Restricted section and said that no one else was with him. I knew I'd walk Is through hell for him. His ending was so sad Is in the end he gains nothing and loses everything Even as a strong believer in justice I couldn't bring myself to have him taken away.
