Spirit is a huge part of my childhood. I've seen it countless of times and every time I watch it, I'm sobbing. I don't even know it is but I really have chills and tears in my eyes throughout the whole movie. Also, this movie soundtrack is EVERYTHING!

I've akways loved horses. They are one of my favorite animals. I used to helpl out on a farm with horses and in exchange, I could ride them. When I was around 8yo, I fell and broke my wrist but it thankfully didn't change how I feel about them.

Baby horses = Foals (girls are filly/fillies, boys are colts, as adults they are mares and stallions respectively).
Horses run in herds, and yes, they can swim quite well, actually.
The singer is Brian Adams.

😎👍 Dreamworks released a grand total of five films that utilize this style of animation. The other four were "Prince Of Egypt" (1998), "The Road To El Dorado" (2000), "Joseph, King Of Dreams" (2000) and "Sinbad, Legend Of The Seven Seas" (2003). All of them are well worth checking out. 😉

I always get so excited whenever I see a react to this movie.
It was one of my favorites when I was little.
I didn't understand fully at the time
But now that I am grown adult, this movie makes me tear up. It's always been on my movie shelf. But now I have a deeper understanding.
I didn't used to cry at this movie, but now, I can't help it. I always tear up at the simple fact that no one can take away Spirit's resilience and how he refuses to let anything keep him from his family. And in the meantime, he happened to find Love... love will prevail! ❤

I LOVE this movie it's my childhood! Some ppl say Matt Damon isn't needed bc they nailed the expressions, but I don't actually mind his commentary I think it's the good amount. They also used authentic recordings of real horses for all the character sounds. 13:06 mustang is actually like a feral horse 23:40 that's bc his only experiences w humans has being negative 24:18 yep they can lol, since they have such long strong legs they're quite natural 24:47 nope, he saw the eagle and remembered his family (I think that's a different eagle from his friend, they're too far to be the same) 33:53 yeah I think so 41:02 he just slipped while running

@lindagrasse-murray8128 5 months ago

Cows have calves, Horses have foals. The large animals at the waterhole were American Bison aka Buffalo, not water buffalo or yaks.

@daveda4th 10 months ago

Baby horses are called foals (foles), just so you know.

@victorialobatofaria 10 months ago (edited)

The Score is made by Hans Zimmer and the lyrics by Bryan Adams, the one and only!

A mustang is a... Not fully a breed, more a catch-all description for feral (currently wild but descended from domestic horses that either were left behind or escaped) horses in the United States. Mustangs from different regions have different qualities from the original stock that founded their populations (some are thicker and sturdier, some taller and leaner, etc), but in general they are very tough, hardy horses, because only the tough ones survived to pass on their genes. Every year the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) will do roundups and auctions of mustangs to keep the populations stable and prevent overcrowding and starvation among the wild herds. Despite being born and growing up in the wild, most mustangs adapt well to life as domestic horses. Not having to worry about food, shelter, or predators, and getting things like treats, blankets when it's cold, fans when it's hot, soft beds, etc, in return for letting humans ride them now and then turns out to be a pretty sweet deal.
