Now I want to see the Vulfpeck drummer do a Sepultura track

EDIT: Or maybe a Slipknot track?

I hate that he says he "ruined the song". I think this was one of the best one of these videos in the whole series. His take was so clean and still really funky and groovy. I thought he did an amazing job.

A drumeo vid about vulfpeck is probably one of the least expected yet greatest Christmas gift ever

@jaywashua 1 year ago

Crazy to think that he said “I ruined the song” when 99% of listeners were thinking that this dude CRUSHED IT.

Honestly, I don't know how anyone could watch this video and not instantly become a lifelong fan of Eloy Casagrande. Even if you don't like metal at all. What an exemplary human and exceptional musician!

This guy is far too humble. He was right in the pocket for his entire final take. Probably one of the best of these I've seen.

Eloy is the real deal! People don't realize how well rounded he actually is. He transcended the "metal" stereotype a long long time ago, even though he loves to talk himself down but in reality there's not much he couldn't play with accuracy and authenticity. What an accomplished musician!

Dude came up with a 100% harder take on the song and really worked his ass off to make it right with a big smile in his face.

This guy is just amazing! He 100% serves the music, no cheesy fills, no fluff just spot-on drumming. Super tasteful, mad respect!

So did anyone notice that between the first take and final was only like half an hour... based on Brandon's phone. Eloy got that performance in under an hour.

Its awesome how well he was able to adapt his style to a completely different genre.

Not gonna lie, that final take was pretty dang good. Great mix of groove and rock drive and power!

Doesn't matter what drummer Drumeo brings in, the drummers are always good spirited, humble and respect the songs they cover. Eloy is no exception. I love this channel.

Slipknot plays Vulfpeck is a tag I never thought was possible, but something that I also never knew I wanted.

Brazilians are soo kind and humble. This guy is no exception. Talented drummer too 👍

This guy is so humble and awesome. He's so nervous and worried about getting it right and at the end he says "Please don't send me any bad comments, I'm sorry, I ruined the song" and I'm sitting here thinking dude, you're the drummer of Sepultura. You did an awesome job with your interpretation and you play crazier shit on stage than I could ever dream of even imagining. Great job man, you didn't ruin anything.

I'm not a drummer, but I absolutely love this series. It's cool to see how different it is for me, as a guitarist, to learn a song versus a drummer learning a song. Awesome!
