No offence, but the older ones in the video are too old for this type of music.

This is so funny. I didn’t even realize Choosin Texas was by that girl he’s been hanging around. His version is pretty good.

Stop using AI

I'm very skeptical that those two were gen x.

Wow, these song picks were crazy.
Especially for rock and rap. Where was the big hair bands and grunge and emo? I thought for sure Nirvana, Alice in Chains,  Beastie Boys, Rage Against Machine, or Eminem would make an appearance. I am shocked Prodigy didn't make an appearance for electronic for Millennials. Firestarter was huge.

Rap and hip hop SUCKS and anyone that likes anything after the first ones also SUCK.

Gen X still ignored here LOL

Yeah this was just horrible. Almost, not all, almost all these songs were a horrible representation on different generations. I mean you completely skipped GenX or Xennial if you want detail it. If your gonna do this do it right. Do different genre episodes with the different generations. But bring in some GenX and maybe some Xennials.

Who the HELL picked these songs ?????? Just blatantly giving boomers a win huh!!!

Does Gen Z  even have music ?

Hard to believe this are the top picks in the genres for about every generation in here…

I’m a Gen X. Why? Why are those two boomers representing Gen X? They’re closer to my parents age than my age!🤣

Also, with so many great rock songs from the 80s, you all decided to go with one of the most mellow rock songs ever, from the 70s? That’s when most Gen X were between kindergarten and fifth grade, in diapers, or being born!!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Little nas X. song is not even gen Z. It's gen alpha

They could’ve picked 100% wayyyyy better rock songs. They were not good picks for rock and songs that actually fit the rock vibe like there was no Led Zeppelin or Queen or any other major rock bands/songs and the same for paramore I could’ve picked way better songs to fit the rock style like some Foo Fighters or something like that. And Beggin is just not good so 100% could’ve picked way better songs.

Those are the Boomerest Gen Xers I've ever seen. I forget my generation technically includes people like 10 years older than me.

EDIT: ok, Fleetwood Mac is great but that's Boomer music. So is Willie Nelson. This video is all over the place.

My rankings (As a Gen Z):

Pop:
abcdefu - 1/10
TiK ToK - 10/10
Billie Jean - 9/10

Rock:
Beggin’ - 3/10
Misery Business - 8/10
Dreams - 9/10

Country:
Choosin’ Texas - 3/10
Before He Cheats - 5/10
On the Road Again - 6/10

Electronic:
Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing) - 6/10
Bangarang - 3/10
Blue Monday - 7/10

Rap/Hip-Hop:
Industry Baby - 8/10
Empire State of Mind - 6/10
The Message - 5/10 (If it wasn’t for Happy Feet, it would be higher 😭)

70’s, 80’s, 2000’s, 2010’s were the best times for music in my opinion!

What was the electronic one???

You all missed the point... they called Gen X music Boomer music because everyone forgets Gen X
