In the wake of Bobby's death and Greg leaving the bay, Sam goes to live with 'Uncle Donald' Fisher who soon learns he cannot cope with a young boy.
Morag, having recently returned to the bay for her estranged daughter Bobby's funeral, seizes the opportunity to concoct a scheme to take custody of Sam.

Remember when Donald was after Pippa, following Tom’s death. The shock was so much for Pippa that overnight she changed from Vanessa Downing to Debra Lawrence! Hahaha!! I never did take to Debra’s Pippa, she always seemed so condescending. Vanessa portrayed her best.

Some Parents could take some lessons from this episode...CO-PARENT and allowing the child to just be happy roto where they want to go, not where the parents want them.

I love how Morag could be the most venomous woman toward anyone but NEVER a child. She was a true child advocate, which showed her true nature 🥺❤️

Morag may have manipulated the situation to get Sam but that doesn’t mean she didn’t want to give him a good life. She felt guilt over Bobby and that’s clearly why she starts crying when Alf banishes her from the family. Ailsa’s vendetta against her was overkill.

She then disappeared for 8 years until after Alisa died, maybe because Alisa would not take her bs lol. For the writers though, she was a replacement of Judy Nunn more or less.
