Irene #1 was like something out of cell block H 😂

Irene had such a big turnaround story that she actually changed her whole person not just persona😂

Wow, Irene really turned her life around, did'nt she ? Irene was horrible at the start !

Irene's character was recast to the famous Lynne McGranger back in 1993.

Now this Irene Would make a Excellent Disney film Villian

I like the way in Australian soaps you get these villain characters that hang around for months, then have a full personality turnaround..
Before you know it they are respectable members of the community, straight edge and go cycling wearing knee/elbow pads and a helmet in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Brings back so many memories. Was so much better back then. I wish I could go back and watch it all over again from the beginning

The OG Irene looks exactly like Shirley from Eastenders

The 1st actress to play Irene scared me, back in the day. Her venom was terrifying.

Pippa was an absolute queen

When Irene first appeared in Home and Away, she was so horrible and abusive towards Damien and Finn. But when the role got recast, Irene changed.

I'd forgotten how intense that background music was. Would love to watch this all from scratch all over again.

the 90s, what a time to be alive

It’s like reliving your childhood watching old home and away episodes….. remember this storyline thanks for sharing with us much appreciated……. I even subscribed 🙂

These older episodes are more entertaining than home and away now 😶

I didnt know there were two different irenes

I love how, in my mind as an adult, I retrospectively replaced Jacqy Phillips with Lynne McGranger when remembering Irene's first couple of months on the show.

Oh my! The Irene change definitely helped the change of character.

Wow I remember these times - I was a teenager myself 😊

This was the era Home and Away used to get 16 million viewers in the UK.
