Thanks for giving me a list of preferred mechs to kill Capellans with. Excellent video

Let the autocannons sing until the bins run empty!

I think one of the most defining features of Fed Suns mechs is jump jets / mobility TBH

Thanks for giving this Capellan a list of preferred targets. Great video.

Kudos on spanning the entire timeline in these videos. Coming back to the game after decades away these videos actually make me want to consider playing in eras after the Clan invasion

This is my preferred faction because I like their mech doctrine.

I love chickenwalkers, ballistics, and black knights. And that's why I'm Davion.

Rotary AC is faaaaaantastic. I wish that they would have made the Clint a more prevalent mech in the universe. Its the perfect mech for FedSuns. 40 tons AC5 with 2 medium lasers for backup. Not many light medium mechs with AC.

House Davion has always been my favorite faction. This was a great breakdown of their preferred mechs. I have to say that I would have liked to see the MAD-3D and 5D.

Oh that Rakshasha is actually good , real good

It's weird how the autocannon guys removed the autocannon from the Marauder.

DAY-vion is the anglophile pronunciation, DAW-vion is the Francophile pronunciation.  I have heard both but the only "official" media I have seen use it outside of some audiobooks is MechCommander.  Most of the time I hear as DAY-vion and as House Davion is suppose to be equivalent to the British Empire in Btech.

3:54 it's great when it stands right beside that Awesome too.

I had heard of some of these, though there were several I had not and now need to take for a spin. Particularly that PHX-3PL. For a few other variants to shout out though:
-Penetrator PTR-6T. Swaps the MPLs for ER Mediums, making space for two more DHDs and a targeting computer. Better heat management than the base version (can basically fire either both ER Larges or all the ER Mediums), and the TC really helps it get in its longer ranged shots.
-Ostsol OTL-6D. Up-armors the Ostsol and upgrades its usual complement to a pair of ER Larges, a pair of ER Mediums, a pair of MPLS, and a pair of SPLs. Mounts a targeting computer and TSM! With no weapons in the arms of legs, it can punch/kick as much as it wants, with a massive energy payload to keep that heat up.
-Blakcjack BJ-2. Twin ER Larges and a quartet of Streak SRM-2s packs some real punch. Its a little under-sunk to fire both ER Larges repeatedly, but swapping in the Streaks helps manage that.

Neat video!  I appreciate that you often highlighted some of the lesser known variants for most of the chassis, since these often fall by the wayside when discussing how effective a mech can be.

Thank you for this! I emulated the NightStar 9FC, onto my NightStar 9J in Mw5, with slight changes.
Two large Pulse lasers, and two different LBX burst fires. 380 engine and some Endo steel to name a few things.

I love the Davion phoenix Hawk variants  I like the Warhammer 6D but mainly because it was among the easiest tech level one Mechs to customize into something I adored. Just replace the extra leg armor with jump jets and away I went. I occasionally ran a Falconer with the Gauss Rifle replaced with a second ER PPC and extra Heat Sinks. And the Penetrator is my all time favorite official Mech design.

Ahhhh yes... been waiting for this one

Wait, before I even watch the video let me guess. This will have the Warhammer WHM-6D, the Javelin JVN-10N and its sweet successor the JVN-10F, and finally the Phoenix Hawk PXH-D. Let's watch and see if I'm right.

Edit: Looks like I was right about the Warhammer and the Phoenix Hawk. Also that Penetrator is so fun. I find they work great supporting a lance of assault mechs. It is like the ultimate bodyguard mech and it just chews up lights and mediums that try to get in close.

Best mechs for the best faction!
