Partial Wing is love, Partial Wing is life.

Great insight. Incidentally my priority when playing is always keeping my units alive

I really appreciate these tactics videos.  Combining that with a list recommendation is the cherry on top.

It's not cheesy enough. Needs a Black Python. Also instead of that Thor I'd probably take a Gargoyle J, or a Timber Wolf S. I've run a 3/4 Gargoyle J and it is an absolutely brutal force of destruction. Jumping 7 with an 80 tonner is just unfair lol.

Another tactic with this is just having more mobility than your opponent. That means instead of kiting at long range, you can rush forward and isolate a mech at close range and just wreck it with a huge alpha strike from all your forces. Then since you have jump jets, you can just jump away and cool off for a turn.

This sounds like the tactics of a light mech jock.  Been doing this since the 3rd succession war.  Panthers forever.

Blitzkrieg BTZ-4F is one of the IS designs that fits into this comp.  7/11/7, decent armor, and a HPPC w/ TC (and a c3 slave if you want to make it even more expensive)

Because the HPPC has a reasonable BV for its power, the Blitz is incredibly expensive at 1740 BV.

Great Ideas Thanks Again for the hard work !!!

Your list suggestion is justification of the Supernova 4.

The other key to a list like this is that you should be focusing your fire as best as possible.  This should lead to higher likelihood of taking enemy units down.  Once you have better odds you can push out to closer ranges

Fun degenerative video TB!  There's a reason many tournies ban 7+ hex jumpers mounting pulse lasers

Very informative video. The only way to make your lineup extra cheesy is to use two Butcherbirds (Ion Sparrows) Prime and D. The opportunity to break line of sight in open portions of terrain of hills, mountains, cities, and woods. This is often called LOS games and is favored by strike units. Taking better piloting skills is important as staying on your feet is a damage increase.

Not important bits...
Other mechs available in 3050 for evasion lineups or mobility warfare are the Viper Prime and A for clans. Consider the infantry extensions of weapons for the mech.
When playing an evasion line-up you’re going to want to use smoke SRM or LRM’s or Inferno’s and Flamers to set fires for concealments. The Clan LRM-10 is a nice clan smoke dispenser on the Nobori-nin (Huntsman). I like the A and yes its weapons are advantages when staying at long range.

Taking flamer infantry is ideal. I would recommend taking 4/3 flamer “Fire” elementals to be immune to their own incendiary consequences. And to be immune to the greatest threat that is inferno missiles. This is to offer better anti-mech attack rolls and in the case of city combat be able to jump though buildings with-out damage.

I like the Falconer as well for the same reasons presented in this video.

Mobility for 3025 you have the Assassin, Ostscout and Spider. Much lighter mechs like the Specter and I do like the one with the stealth armor. But there's also the Spector with C3. Opening up mechs like the Thanatos, Argus, and Chimera. Their likely C3 Master Systems would be the Maxim or Schiltron. Evasive tanking is an off tanking of Cavalry strategies but for ground only movement the walk of 7 is minimum.

Evasion tanking or mobility warfare is available in the Innersphere with hovercraft and VTOL’s. Vehicles like the Gabriel and Savannah Master. With other faster hover vehicles like the Pegasus, Harasser and J Edgar Hover tanks. The minimum VTLO movement would be 8 or above. That would open-up the Sprint, the Nightshade, Ripper, and Ferret. You are correct in avoiding vehicles for the Clans. As you would want to maximize your investment of BV in Mechs.

I would offer a Comstar mobility line of two Hussar HSR-500-D and a Raijin RJN-101-C or RJN-200-A, Griffin GRF-6CS with two Sprint “C3i” as a good example of what is covered in the video. Mobility Warfare is not for everyone. We just end up mixing it in with the rest of our lances.

Once upon a time played ongoing Campaigns.  I decided I wanted to try to play Ice Hellions, and leaned very hard into speed.  It’s fun when you outnumber IS armies.  Ended when a Clan opponent decided to shutdown for a kill, he didn’t like that I had one of my engaged Pilots take an opportunity kill.  I pointed out that I was allowed to challenge multiple opponents and he was the one to overheat.

I am a little surprised you didn't mention indirect fire LRMs with spotting units. If you want to do damage and be protected from return fire, no LOS is a pretty good way to do it.

I would also be interested in a look at specific equipment for an evasion list. ECM and AMS being obvious examples, but I am sure some specialty armor and other equipment would be helpful too.

The thing with evasion lists, or "jump far with a long range weapon", is that the pack hunter can (theoretically) 1v1 most mechs assuming infinite time and rolling maps
Jump 7, put yourself at medium/long range for the ERPPC, out of range of their weapons
Sure you're hitting on like 10s but they're not getting any shots
Repeat until victory
Absolutely TERRIFYING in a campaign scenario with a world map, hop in, take a few potshots, hop out, something rarely represented in tabletop play

Im guessing the Jade Phoenix A is on the List. 7 jump and pulse lasers are insane to fight.

Ran a raven alliance duo into my friend's Steiner lance. It was a vapor eagle and a black python. 5-8-5 clpls +targeting computer. Completely nullifies the jump modifier.

Both mechs satisfy my lore interpretation of R teams which both snow raven and outworlds militia make heavy use of. That being they have one or more hands with which to grab loot, mechs, bits of mechs, and run off with them. A metric the 'modern' jade falcon mechs do not meet.

Welp... I've been playing evasion lists without even knowing. That's why I always thought 'what the heck' every time you said fast movers are overpriced, because if used like this they earn their value.

PS. What fo you think of a map with mainly water depth 3 and columns height 0 to 2 in singels or 1 2 or 3 hexes together scattered across maps. Mini islands. Jumpers paradise?

I wonder what you would use for an evasion list using only Introtech.

Though honestly my brain is extremely IS biased
I see 10k and think "holy shit I can Feild a company of tanks and a Lance on-top of it"
