You can't moan for the money. All said and done it's a product aimed at the DIY market. It does the job it's intended for and comes with a warranty. I've got LOADS of Parkside products and I've always been pleasantly surprised with the quality attained for the price paid.

It's about break loose torque which is higher than tightening torque. Dynamic friction v static friction is different.

They are awesome for driving large coach bolts into fenceposts.

This is for DIY people, maybe use it 5 times a year, excellent value. As someone who was in the motor trade, I can say that so many garages and tyre shops massively over tighten wheel nuts!!! You wouldn’t undo by the side of the road with a puncture, many call outs were because of this problem. We had to use a 3ft (1 metre) bar often to break the nuts, this can also cause some alloy wheels to crack round the tapper of the stud hole, to me you should use a torque wrench to tighten the wheel nuts up, as per the car manufacturers setting. Never in 20 years had any problems with mine or regular customers car.

Have been using the same machine  for years and found it perfectly  fine for my needs, I got the screwdrriver adaptor for  use in joinery work, the machine puts in 100MM screws easily. Great value for money machine.

Great for cracking off the invariably rusted on blades of my rotary mower.

I've owned one of these for about a year, it's been perfect for the odd wheel swap etc. When tightening I always spin them up on the lowest setting, then use a torque wrench. Your review was very fair.

As a retired mechanic, When i was on the shop floor, I used a pneumatic gadagger lol. I look after my grand kids cars and decided to get a battery one for removing wheels to service, It cost me £80 and still going strong.  undoes driveshaft nuts as well. well impressed with it it's a VTEK

The Parkside brushless Performance tools (the black bodied tools with 5 year warranty) are becoming gradually available in the U.K.
Last week the highly sought after rather large and heavy Parkside Performance impact wrench - the PASSP 20-Li C4 which claims to have 1898 Nm loosing torque was in the Northern Ireland UK stores for £69.99 and a £10 off on Lidl Plus app - so only £59.99.
That was for the tool and case, plus a 4Ah smart battery and a charger and 3 Cr-Mo sockets and a 1/2-3/4” adapter!
I believe the Irish Republic also had similar deal in euros.
So hopefully rest of U.K. will get these, 🤞 but need to be at a Lidl store for it opening early mornings to have a chance of getting one.

I got this exact impact gun and honestly it has served me quite well. I mostly do some work on my own scooter and car, and it has undone every bolt that had to come off.

even took off a bolt so tight that I literally bent my breaker bar (it was a cheap one, but still like 2.5 cm of steel), which was only like 25 cm's long. its good enough for basically anything an amateur home mechanic needs to use it for, which is also what it was intended to do.

plus, you wouldn't compare 2 things with a price ratio of 3:1. i'd say its one of the best impact guns out there for the price range and target demographic.

I have loads of Parkside tool, really good quality for the money.

I bought one, I think maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Great tool for undoing tight bolts like my Volvos suspension job. Ofcourse if I would have the money I would go for Milwaukee but for odd jobs for an amateur for hobbies the parkside is great.

The force required to undo a nut , is greater than the force it was tightened too .

Nice little test, I find parkside tools good value for money tbf 😊

That Lidl battery won't be at its best until it's had at least three or four charge cycles.

Static friction vs dynamic friction! That`s why it can do up tighter than it can undo!

"18 V" and "20 V" actually means the same. These are 5s lithium batteries, meaning they have 5 lithium cells in serial configuration. A lithium cell is completely full at 4.2 V, but the nominal voltage for those cells is 3.6 V because this is where they are at around 50% full. Now multiply 3.6 by 5 and you end up with 18, which is the technically correct way to call those batteries.
However, these nominal voltages don't really represent the full capacity of the battery because when it's completely full, it has 4.2 by 5 equals 21 Volts.
This is why manufacturers of power tools in recent years started using 4 V as a more reasonable "nominal voltage" for the individual cells. This not only represents the "real voltage" much better, but also gives cleaner numbers of 12 and 20 instead of the old 10.8 and 18

Be interesting to see how the Parkside Performance version would compare although not sure they are available in the UK yet.

This coming Sunday, they're £49.99 in UK Lidl
