Thank you for being here! I’d love to know—what books are you enjoying at the moment?

❤❤❤

Was so happy to see a new video from you, Raye! I love hearing when you are happy with a page because you are immensely talented! All the pages turned out beautifully.

I have no tips for colored pencils. Even though I have the complete set of Prismacolors, I rarely have the time and patience needed to use them. 😂

Thank you again for sharing. ❤

I just love your videos and your coloring pages.  Thank you for sharing!!

Love your work here, you seem to get better every time I watch! Great pages ❤️

Your work is really beautiful!!

I love your use of markers. You have done such a nice job. 😊Keep up the good work.

Love seeing your pages, which I think are so beautifully done. The first few were particularly amazing with details like lighting and shade. Loved the bedsit..that light work you did around door and windows is so cool and professional looking. And I actually loved the colour palette in your first attempt on the other page too so I hope you finish it one day. And the raindrops splashing in the bird bath were amazing, love that. 💦 I feel the same as you when I look at others work on insta etc. comparison really does steal joy, but as you say it’s also inspiring and we can learn from others. But i have only watched one other video of yours and it was refreshing how ok you were with being at the stage you were at and I hope you can find that joy again for your sake. Thanks for your honesty (as I said I can relate, it feels like you read my mind) and for sharing your beautiful work. I hope you will have energy to still share but I also hope you don’t burn out. Better to colour alone for joy and relaxation than burn out for us. Hugs!

Raye the pages are all beautiful. My favourite is the Adorable Town book. I haven't worked in my copy for a while, this has inspired me to pick it up.
We all get slumps, & we've all been guilty of comparing ourselves to others & then that takes away the joy of what is supposed to be a relaxing hobby.
PS im currently on a Maria Trolle kick

Oh yes, colored pencils take forever. You really can't compare them to the speed of coloring with alcohol markers. Pages i do with colored pencils like in Johanna Basford or Rita Berman books take multiple hours. But they're so worth it. One thing I did was follow a color along with colored pencils in a Johanna Basford book. It really built up my confidence and honestly led me to fall in love with colored pencils. Do you have the Dahle 133 sharpener yet, or another good one? That made a big difference for me. I agree with the other commenter too that relaxing your hand and using many light layers will help with cramping and increasing enjoyment. 🙂 lovely pages this month!

Nice picture

Beautiful pages, Raye ❤ when I colour with pencils, I usually base at least part of the page with a water based medium, like neocolor II or inktense

Love all your pages❤!  Your WIP looks great so far— colored pencils do take ALOT longer than alcohol markers but using Gamsol does help speed the blending process up quite a bit.

Enjoying your channel and looking forward to seeing the video for the WIP.   God Bless!

I have the Bear Wood book and love it.  However, I've not colored anything in it.  Everything is a shade of brown and I couldn't see how it would look with all that brown color.  Your work is beautiful whether pencil or marker.  Working with pencils is a long, time consuming endeavor; but, watching the page come to life is exciting.  I love it.  Hang in there, you do a beautiful job!

I only use coloured pencils and yes it does take time but that's what I enjoy. I bought some alcohol markers but really didn't like the process or the finished result. I have just started the Brown Bear Wood book and am really enjoying it. I don't make videos so I don't care how long  pages takes me.

Colored pencils are definitely a different monster. They are what I started with so they have a special place in my heart. Are you using Prismacolor pencils?

Mythographic 😂 I think that's what you mean
