I Have 328 Coloring Books… But How Many Have I Actually Used?

Colorfully Optimistic

I counted my entire adult coloring book collection… and then I counted how many of those books I have never actually colored in. With 328 coloring books on my shelves, I knew the number was going to be a little ridiculous, but I was not fully prepared for the reality check.

In this video, I’m going through my untouched coloring books, deciding what still deserves a spot in my collection, what I might de-stash, and setting a goal to finally start coloring in the books I’ve been saving “for later.” If you have a pile of coloring books you keep meaning to use, this one might make you feel very seen.

Let me know how many untouched coloring books you think you have — and whether I should turn this into a challenge where we finally color in the books we keep ignoring.

Okay, be honest… how many coloring books do YOU own that you still haven’t colored in? 👀

Should we make this a challenge and finally start coloring in our untouched books together? Use #NoMoreBlankBooks if you want to join me!

I think we all need to agree that buying colouring books and actually colouring colouring books are two distinct hobbies.

I have 3 coloring books. Theyre all 1/3 way finished. Damn girl.

I just love buying colouring books. I have 50 and have coloured 24. I keep promising myself I won’t buy anymore but I can’t help myself.

I love coloring. I have 34 books, and have finished 22 of them. Only the most recent is untouched. I’d love to be someone who colors a full book before buying another, but I also like having a variety to choose from when I want to color. Both options are great, and just do what works for you.

I think its ok to have as many as you want! sometimes I think of some of mine as art books, because it brings me joy to look at the uncolored pages!

I don’t count my untouched books, I used to think I needed to, but now I color whatever moves me. Never feel quilting for your coloring supplies, it’s what you do and more importantly it brings you and many others joy💕

I don't have that many but I have a lot of uncolored books. I have maybe 40 books half are uncolored. I haven't colored a page in a long time. I have a whole room set up as a art studio that I haven't been in awhile now. Life and a new hobby of sewing has taken my time. I'm going to start back on it one day.

Wow, I unfortunately cannot relate. I have all of 3 coloring books and I have no desire to buy any others until they’re finished! Not sure why I feel the way I do!🤷🏻‍♀️

I keep a sheets document with every book I own, with a few info filters and also if I colored them or not. It's quite handy. And it keeps me accountable to color my untouched ones.

I have at least 96 untouched books! And I don't care! I started collecting books I liked and they're waiting for my skill to catch up to how I want to color them! I've only been adult coloring for a couple years. So I don't feel bad at all! Lol 💕

I have 4 hobbies. I love to color. I love to diamond paint. I love tarot cards. I love sewing. Therefore, I collect coloring books, diamond painting kits, tarot cards, and fabric. It comes with the territory. It can't be helped.

I have an obscene number of untouched coloring books. I started thinking of myself as a coloring book collector who also colors 😂 I work a lot now but will retire in the next decade or sooner, so I’m stocking up!

I have 98 books, and 73 are uncolored. I'm working on knocking that number down. Prior to watching the video and reading the comments, I felt bad about having so many books. Not anymore 😂

I have around 40 books & have colored in maybe 10 of them. I have a lot of hobbies so I don't color all that often. (I go in cycles) I've been working on one particular book for awhile now & finishing a bunch of pages in that one. I don't feel too guilty abt leaving other books uncolored. As long as I'm coloring regularly in ONE OF MY BOOKS, I'm satisfied.

I have many books and i have very few I not colored in i probably have 600! I buy few, they are mostly given to me. I have 3 daughters that are good at coloring and 2 granddaughters. I color each day and I have two friends I color each week too. I sometimes color 2 or 3 pages a day. I am now 91 years old. Love coloring. I send a coloring page that i have done to about a dozen people that have asked me to,each day. Yes I have finished some books.
