I think another classic that perhaps almost everyone either played, saw, or knew about:
- Indiana Jones and the last Crusade/the fate of Atlantis
- Phantasmagoria 1 or 2
- Alone in the Dark
- Prince of Persia
- The Secret of Monkey Island
- Any flying spacecraft game (Wing Commander, Descent, Free Space, or others)
- Gabriel Knight Sins of the Father
- One Must Fall 2097
- Tyrian
- The Incredible Machine (any iteration, I started with Al & Sid's,and I loved it in spite of seeing reviews of people not liking it or thinking it was one of the worst ones of the series)
- Epic Pinball (because the shareware, as most of them, were spread like viruses through magazines)
- Lemmings
I know there are a few ones that came stuck with some IBMs or other PCs, like cat alley or Qbasic nibbles, and Qbasic gorillas; those were in my highschool computer and also in my (my dad's) personal computer
