Relying on my headlamp, I began my climb of Mt. Ito early in the morning.
Starting from Takitaro Sanso, I made a circular journey that took about six hours (planned).
After that, it would take another hour or two to extend my journey from Higashizawa to Nishizawa, so a 4:30 AM departure was appropriate.

There wasn't a single cloud in the sky, the breeze was gentle, and there was cold water. I was also captivated by the array of colors enveloping Mt. Ito.
The Obon holiday Paradise project was perfectly underway.
However, because of this, my recent lack of energy,
the creeping fear of aging relentlessly attacks me.

Walking steadily is the best way to dispel gloomy thoughts.
It's also good to occasionally reminisce about the past.
I remembered playing with my children and the late Nobuo Nishizawa.
It's a bad idea to waste time.
Even a slow walk reminds me of goals I'll have for retirement.

We guarantee that Otori Pond's charm will only increase.
Please take your time to read to the end.
