Liverpool talking how United fell off forgeting how abysmal they Were for almost 30 years

Gary Pallister's two crucial headed goals direct from corner kicks were almost exactly the same as the two headed goals Zinedine Zidane scored for France in the 1998 World Cup final! This was surly Pallister's finest hour as a Man Utd player, as the league was still all to play for, and Liverpool were still in the race.

Beckham's crosses (whether from set-pieces or open play) were a nuclear weapon. Some idiots who know nothing about football underestimate his impact simply because he wasn't flashy, not understanding how immensely difficult it is to be as effective as he was.

From the season video, interview with a fan before the match: "United's match-winner today? David James!" 🤣

And people say football is better now. Look how intense this game is, both teams going toe-to-toe playing fast paced, end to end front footed football. Both teams play on when their are moments of debate i.e fouls, handballs etc. Formations are pulled out of position due to the fast pace and this means mistakes are made, hence why teams back then didnt record as many points now like City, Liverpool and Arsenal etc...not because they are better teams or players, but because they play very strategic football against low blocks, meaning football is boring and slow, but its quite an efficient way to win games if you are one of the bigger teams.

I remember watching this game live and even though I was a child, I would have sworn that it was a much more even game. Looking at the highlights United could have won 5-1.
