🇨🇮 Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Abobo Behind the Rails: A Morning Rush-Time Immersion in Sagbé's Bokabo
This morning, I set off from the Abobo town hall to observe the city's activity during the morning rush hour. From the early hours of the day, many residents head towards various transportation hubs to reach their workplaces, particularly those in the direction of Adjamé and Plateau.
I walk around the area from the Abobo town hall to the train station, notably around the Abobo gendarmerie, where one can observe the crowds of people waiting for buses, minibuses, and other forms of transport.
I then make a quick stop to observe the ongoing construction work related to the Abidjan metro line before continuing my walk towards Abobo Behind the Rails.
Behind the Rails is a large area of Abobo. For this exploration, I travel from Sagbé to Bokabo, discovering the streets and paths within the neighborhood.
This part of the walk holds a few surprises: some paths are more like dirt tracks, several lead to dead ends, while others end at large ditches or passages that are difficult to identify. I sometimes had to find my way to continue this exploration on foot.
This video is a long immersion in Abobo, capturing the hustle and bustle of rush hour, public transportation, the train station, urban construction, and discovering daily life in Derrière Rail, Sagbé, and Bokabo.
