Welcome to a little bonus video and a walk on the darker side of vintage! 🖤🕯️
I absolutely love the moody elegance of Victorian Gothic decor, and I couldn’t let Halloween pass without creating something inspired by that beautiful old-world style. I’m still continuing both my IOD Holiday Collection 2026 and One Thrift Wonder series, so rather than interrupt either one, I decided to sneak in something extra—a Vintage All Hallows’ Eve vignette!
For this collection, I transformed thrifted and forgotten pieces into decor that feels as though it could have been collected from an old Victorian home. Think aged books, candlelight, ravens, worn gilding, antique finishes, and just a touch of the macabre.
And because nothing says Victorian Gothic quite like Edgar Allan Poe, several of these projects were inspired by his wonderfully dark stories, including The Raven, The Black Cat, and The Fall of the House of Usher. I also tucked in a few subtle details with a story of their own—including 1692 on my raven artwork as a nod to the year in which most of the Salem witch trials took place.
This isn't the cute side of Halloween. 😉 We're going for dark, romantic, aged, mysterious, and beautifully time-worn—the kind of Halloween decor that looks as though it might have a history of its own.
At the end, I bring all of the projects together to create one complete Victorian Gothic All Hallows’ Eve vignette filled with candlelight, old books, ravens, and wonderfully aged treasures.
