In this video, I show how I built my new bird bath for photographing birds. Although I had built a small bird bath at my hide location about 9 months ago, I needed something bigger. I wanted it to be more like a woodland pool, than a true reflection pool, and in this video, I show how I went about it.

Looks very natural and an important resource for birds, especially in the heatwaves.

Oh dear, oh dear, you have done it again! I have made three or four pools over the last few years - each using your ideas, and now this one which is really what I intended my last one to look like. Looks like I'm going to be busy again. Great video, very helpful, thanks for sharing.

Your idea has inspired me to set up a new hide (I already have 4), but I’m thinking of a 5th with double crests. One side for a waterer and on the other side, for jumps with a genet.

Great idea putting on a raised table, better photographing angle. We built a pond into our garden although not with the idea of photographing necessarily, and it's populated with fish and frogs.
