They have to take this to the Honda Stage.

Not about their parents, rather, about how the industry and society as a whole treat young ladies growing up.

Despite its title, they have said this song is not about family problems. They described it as a song “for every single woman out there,” using “daughter” broadly to talk about the impossible expectations placed on women as daughters, partners, sisters, mothers, and women in general, while still being told they are not enough. It also reflects their experience of growing up in public, with some people still attached to the teenage versions of them and not liking that they have grown into adult women who know what they want.

The lyrics on this album all hit hard, The Warning have reached the next level!

Perfect Daughter is about being a "daughter of the world". It's that as a woman, you always have to be on top of your game, all the time, and you get judged harshly for every little thing. The first verse is definitely a barb at the "fans" who are frozen in how they sounded when writing XXICB and QOTMS and can't accept that DPA have become adults, and with it, their music has evolved. They don't write and sing like teenagers anymore. They have underscored it's not about their own parents, who've been nothing but 100% supportive all their lives.

That break! A full measure - and then BAM! 🔥

I’d say it’s one of my favourites on the album, but my “favourites” are practically the entire album, so… 🤷‍♂️ - 🤘⚡️❤️

I’m glad they are getting big in UK, some British people say that their sound is very similar to British rock.

Picked my tickets up to their show coming up in April in Vancouver, Canada.  The venue they are playing only holds 1280, so this is going to be awesomely intimate!!  STOKED!!!❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

If I absolutely had to pick I think this one just about tops this new album for me. The lyrics just hit me for some reason and I ADORE the almost war cry like wailing after the chorus in particular.

Such a great song ..they have upped their game ..🤘👏

I don't tend to be a lyric guy in general. It's always been more about the sound for me. BUT the very first time I heard the line: "Put on a smile with my face in the dirt" it was seared into my brain!

How great it was to wake up on a Saturday morning with a The Warning react from Nick in my queue! 🇲🇽🤘❤️ 🇬🇧

There are still some UK tour tickets if you want to see them next year.

Nothing but Killers!🎉

❤✌🤘 TWA~UK

Glad to see you back!

Nick. Watch the one-hour interview they did on the Zack Sang show, they explain the song perfectly
