Stranger Things continuity is a dumpster fire. This new spinoff show did not help.

I swear, each time you’re like “Think Positive. Stay Positive.” all I can think of is Unikitty in The Lego Movie. 😂

In elementary school my friend and I had a 3rd guy play with us that really clicked for few weeks before he moved away and he was talked about/mentioned for years

I honestly think that netflix execs thought that people would want more stranger things after the finale, so they rushed this

This was definitely supposed to be a video game

If this took place in a different town or it wasn't canon at all , then a lot of the problems with this show wouldn't exists

@silveredguy561 4 months ago

The canon are the friends we made along the way.

My theory is that this spin off is the beginning of a seperate branch of the timeline which will lead to a completely different outcome by the end than what season 5 gave us

I have a theory. The monster uses green goo to open an upside down portal. Where have we seen this? Season 3, Russians used green goo to open a portal. Also, what if in season 3, when eleven says that she closed the portal, what if she’s talking about the portal in tales from 85? I know it’s unlikely, but still.

this show was paint by numbers structure wise and baaaarely fit into the established lore without breaking anything. it felt as much as a video game DLC as possible, having new monsters with new colors and mechanics but not adding aaanything to the established lore of previous or later seasons.

The Hunger Games is the perfect example at how to do prequels and midquels

I'm pretty mixed on Stranger Things tales from 85 overall. It's really fun and nice to see the entire party go on a adventure together and Nikki is a fun little guest star but I think the stakes are too high for this to just be forgotten by S3. While the show is quite fun it didn't really do much for me and overall I would give it a 6.5 to maybe 7/10

I need to see you make a part 2 to this now that season 2 is out. I need more of you losing your mind

Dude that was a great video!

"The cool thing about it is a giant monster" rings in my head. its like if Camp Cretaceous were about fighting the dinosaurs instead of surviving them.

It's very posible they didn't conclude it because there's going to be another season considering netflix does that thing where the green lit two at the same time, or just one and realese it as 2

This IP will go the way of the x-files. Great beginnings, huge quality drops in later seasons, and a very disappointing finale leading to soulless spinoffs without quality until all thats left is a bittersweet memory of how the mighty have fallen. The Duffers made the fans worry with the abysmal season 5, Tales only made it worse. They had the perfect endpoint in season 3, but i guess that's what happens when creatives become sellouts.

I love seeing guys talk abt whatever tf is going on in the new stranger things show cuz it makes zero sense

@NannaRibergårdFischer-d3h 2 weeks ago

There r no morals either! Like, Dustin tells Steve that the world might be ending and that everyone will die. And steve is like: cool! Sure, he helps. But he just like: i did my part

Good video, Writers don’t care about lore as much as we do sadly.

Im not entirely uncertian they might not just retcon season 3,4 and 5 and make Tales from 86 and so on as a soft reboot of sorts since the ending to main show wasn't as well received as they hoped.
