If you want the complete storyline for Mamacita, they have the Drama version of that  too....

The whole theme for Super Junior's "Mr. Simple" album and comeback was supposed to be high-fashion pretty boys, so the clothing styles and looks in the MV are supposed to be their model, fashion show looks. It's supposed to be over the top and a little crazy because if you have ever seen runway fashions at a high-fashion fashion show, they aren't normal looks that an average person would ever really wear. It's more about the artistry of the pieces of clothing and how they are paired together with the styling of the model.

The individual shots of them posing are intentionally like that because they are posing like models for a high-fashion magazine photoshoot. That's why we see the lights flashing in the background and why they keep posing for the camera, because those are camera flashes. They are in the middle of a photoshoot. It's supposed to highlight each of their model looks. Plus, fans want to get to see each of the members up close and really take in each of them individually.

"Mr. Simple" came out in 2011 and there are 10 members in this MV. Kibum and Hangeng had left the group at this point and KangIn was still serving in the military at this time.

Eunhyuk is the main dancer of Super Junior, considered one of SM's top dancers, so you will almost always see him in the front and center in all of the dance break sections of Super Junior songs. Plus, he is also the main rapper, so he should be fairly easy to identify.

Super Junior are actually one of the most unique groups as a whole because the members are so completely different from each other, which is why they are often individually highlighted in their MVs. If it wasn't for SM's original plan to make them a project group, where members would eventually "graduate" from the group and take on new roles within the entertainment industry, the members of Super Junior probably would have never been a part of the same group.

When the group was created they were considered the super rookies of the company so they were given the name Super Junior '05. The original purpose of the group was for the members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were supposed to be training as comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.)

The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when SM decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group. Hence, why they had 'O5 in their name originally.

However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans.

Plus, I think one reason why fans were so upset about Super Junior '05's concept was the fact that the members of Super Junior were actually part of a larger group of trainees who the fans had watched go through an elimination process. The members who "made it" where the 5 members who originally became the members of TVXQ, and the members who formed Super Junior '05 were the "castoffs." But fans had already formed a bond with ALL the trainees, so they were upset that the other members who "didn't make it" (Super Junior members) might eventually disappear from the spotlight, etc.

When Super Junior first debuted on Nov 6, 2005, they had 12 members, but 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group to officially make them a 13 member group.

Then in 2008, SM created the very first Mandarin Chinese sub-unit designed to bring Kpop to the Chinese market and they added 2 new members to Super Junior (Zhoumi and Henry) and Super Junior officially became a 15 member group. Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian and Zhoumi is native Chinese. However, Zhoumi and Henry were only allowed to be members of Super Junior-M. So, Super Junior is a 13 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.

So, technically, Super Junior was "originally" a 15 member group. However, in the same way that the Korean ELF supported Super Junior and forced SM to make them a permanent group, in 2008 when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi and the creation of Super Junior-M, Korean fans protested yet again. But this time they were against adding any new members to Super Junior. So the Korean fans forced SM, this time, to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior.

That's why you should also check out some of Super Junior-M's songs, because you are totally missing out on the musical genius of Henry and Zhoumi as well.

Super Junior are one of the Godfather's of Kpop and they have always been ahead of their time. They have such a wide range of songs and styles that they appeal to almost everyone, you just have to find your jam.

Lol, do they have a live performance of Spy.  Well....... yes. Funny story, the choreo was so complicated they erased it from their minds.  They refused to perform it for years.  It became a running joke how much they hated it, as they always lost during Random Dance on Weekly idol partially because of this.  ELF love the song so we trolled them with requests for it.  They then one-upped us by performing it, but, um, in very different ways.  They finally gave in during Super Show: Half Time and performed it fully again.  I kind of doubt we will ever see it again though.  Unless they do a ballad version, which I will not put past them.

Yes they either in their military service or left the group but some most likely can't be in their mvs or comebacks because of health reasons. Like in No Other, i think Kyuhyun can't join the dance part because he was recovering from a surgery then. You'll understand their lineups more once you see the guide 😅

The voice in Mr Simple intro was Yoo Youngjin. The genius behind every, if not, mostly of SM's RnB songs.

no other was the first mv (and probably last 🤣) i downloaded on my phone. Yes, i believe it is a fan song, even the idea of not showing the girl at the end feels intentional for that reason. The rapper with blonde hair is Eunhyuk. He's also the main dancer. He's my bias :D

Eunhyuk is the Main Rapper
Shindong, Donghae, and Heechul, area also comon rappers.

R.I.P the watermelon 😢

"No Other" was released in 2010, so now Super Junior is an 11 member group. This was after Hangeng left and Kibum was busy with his acting career. However, there are only 10 members in the MV because KangIn was serving in the military at this time. You see Siwon, Heechul, Sungmin, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk,  Shindong, Donghae, Yesung, Ryeowook and Leeteuk. For some reason Siwon was unable to be there for the whole MV, so we don't see him in the last end shot when the group is all together. However, we see him tie the girl's shoe in the MV, as an act of chivalry to show his love.

11:58 I think you're mistaken Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk here lol. Eunhyuk is wearin orange/reddish color jacket in Mr. Simple MV. he is the main rapper and main dancer. Kyuhyun is one of the three manin vocalist

Super Junior live vocals are crazyy !!! They are so fun & talented 💙✨

The main rapper and dancer is Eunhyuk. You're correct that Eunhyuk did weekly idol, but on their music videos you keep pointing at Kyuhyun and calling him Eunhyuk while simultaneously wondering who the rapper is lol The rapper is Eunhyuk (and he did weekly idol), the one with the nice vocals that you think is Eunhyuk is actually Kyuhyun 🤣

Yes, they sang SPY LIVE and sounds just like the studio version if not better. But they hate performing it because the choreography is confusing. They must adjust choreography and formation because of missing  members.

Super Junior  sound is like a box of chocolate, you don't know what you're going to get. 😅

Thanks!! this list is missing Bonamana to have the SJ trilogy (Sorry Sorry, Mr Simple and Bonamana) they usually do the 3 songs together at the concerts.
I love the Shindong appreciation comments!! He really is just adorable!
For no other, if you want to see the face of the girl I would recommend Don't wait 🤣
SJ has done almost every style, they very versatile and that's one of the reasons everyone can easily find SJ songs to like.

If you want to understand the storyline better, you should watch the drama version of Super Junior's "Mamacita." The Drama version just focuses on the story and it will help you to follow what is happening in the MV.  If you pay attention to the headlines on the newspaper that tells you what is happening as well. It's really funny and classic Super Junior. They are the comedic geniuses of Kpop.

Yes, Shindong's English line in  "Mamacita" is unfortunately another one of SuJu's tragically funny/cringy uses of English. What he says is, "Close your lips, shut your tongue." However, if they had a better grasp on English, they would have known that in English we would say something like, "close your lips, hold your tongue." LOL Or, they could have even said " ... stop your tongue, etc."  (It's similar to the funny word choice they used in Super Junior's "Sexy Free and Single, "  where they say "Sexy Free and Single and ready to, Bingo!"  Which only sort of makes sense LOL. It would have made much more sense if they had said, "Sexy Free and Single and ready to mingle." "Mingle" would have made so much more sense in the context of the song.)

Super Junior are known for their story based MVs, their catchy choreography and their goofy fun concepts. Some of their other songs with fun storylines you should check out if you haven't already are  "Motorcycle" by Super Junior-D&E; "Magic"  by Super Junior; and Super Junior-M's "Super Girl" and "Swing".

In the MV Siwon is playing the Sheriff. Kyuhyun is playing the "gambler," but if you watch the drama version you will see he isn't just a gambler. Sungmin was playing the owner of the bank, who was robbed. Leeteuk is playing the thief. Donghae is playing the bounty hunter. Eunhyuk is playing the bullfighter. KangIn was a fruit stand owner. (Side note: KangIn is a stage name that means strong one, so he is known for his strength and for the fact that he is a big teddy bear. Therefore, they were playing up his being a cute, clumsy bear of a man to be extra funny in this MV.)  Ryeowook was playing the barber. Shindong was playing the blacksmith and Heechul was the bartender.

"Mamacita" was when Super Junior had 11 members. Although, there are only 10 members in this MV. Yesung was not in "Mamacita" because he was serving in the military at this time. "Mamacita" was released in September 2014.

Super Junior has a very big Latin fanbase and they are one of the most popular Kpop groups in Latin America. If you look at the comments on some of Super Junior's most recent videos you will see that there are almost more comments in Spanish than any other language, including Korean. SuJu started the Latin Kpop trend in 2014 with "Mamacita," but it really didn't catch on beyond that until more recently. Now, one of SuJu's recent styles of music is Latin infused Kpop, and they have been working with famous Latin artists, collaborating to combine Korean, Spanish and English to create a perfect blend of cultures. Latin America is pretty much an untapped market for Kpop, and yet, Kpop is pretty popular in Latin countries, so Super Junior has started focusing on their Latin fans by producing songs in collaboration with Latin artists and holding press tours and concerts in Latin America, specifically for their Latin fans. Once again, they are paving the way in a new direction that had never been done before. If you haven't already, check out "Lo Siento" Ft. Leslie Grace and "One More Time" Ft. Reik to see what I mean.

SuJu know what they are doing when it comes to breaking into all different music markets. They also were the first Kpop group to ever produce songs in Mandarin for their Chinese fans and the first group to have a sub-unit that focused on the Chinese market.

Super Junior has done pretty much every type of music in their career -- from hard core rock with songs like "Don't Don" to cute and funny like "Cooking Cooking" by Super Junior-H. Whatever style you are in the mood for, you can find a SuJu song that fits that genre.

Mamacita Drama version is fun to watch hehehe
