I let Castile beat me 3 times to take all my provinces then became Brasil. Something happened that
I've never seen before. Castile got Economic Hegemon by before 1500. They got all Portugal obviously
and Aragon PU and Naples PU.. and somehow that let them become a hegemon.. At the moment Im busy
taking West Africa and starting to take back my Portuguese homeland.
- also another thing that happened was poland got hre emperor before 1500
you need to save scum to get the negative ae ruler trait.. get the discovery age one, espionage ideas, an event can give you another 20% reduction i think.. then 2 policies from ideas give another 10-15% each.. then curia controller.. basically literally any nation can get huge ae reduction and never have to worry about coalitions if you always go down the same route
