hopefully the technical issues get cleaned up because it's a really fun game.
if it's supported as long as the first game? I'll keep coming back. they made a cool world.

I think nighttime is a lot less scary than in the first game. You just have to avoid howlers, which are stationary on ground level, so just stick to the rooftops and you can just completely avoid being chased, or even on ground level, just walk around them, which isn't hard to do. Whereas before, there were volatiles all over the place, on the prowl, hunting for you, literally running all over the place, including on rooftops... But otherwise, it's tons of fun. Just got past the first area in the main open world, with tons of skyscrapers, so it's very vertical, and just a really cool intricate honeycomb of spaces...it's spectacular.

You had me at “Condemned: Criminal Origins”.

Ahhh, Video game magazines. How I miss you.

This game has come along way since release. It’s soooo much better now

Best synopsis early on that I've seen. 60hrs in so far and JUST finished the story with a sprinkling of side content. That alone was worth it. Now I'm looking forward to running around and finishing that side-content (and MAN is there a LOT).
And I will be playing through it again with way different choices.
Not many games make a person want to DO that anymore.
Bugs and shit be damned.
If they maintain and support this like DL1 and DL The Following, I have FULL faith in the title.

“Numbers are stupid” spoken like a true man 😂

Always appreciate ur official take on gaming even outside what u do on gameranx. I loved the first game but this one seems like something I’ll wait on til all patches are done. Thanks Jake.

Its all abt gameplay and visuals for me. DL2 kills it. The parkour, combat, progression,  exploration,  and loot are so addictive.  The story is whatever.  Just something to drive the exceptional gameplay loop. Im playing the ps5 version in performance mode and have experienced a few very minor technical bugs, but nothing that's really bother me. Great game

It is ridiculous how charismatic Jake is.

I’m 100% with you here, the minute to minute gameplay is addictive in a way I can’t think of another series being. The way you have so much control over each choice, the upgrades, it’s really incredible! The story? Ehhhhhh not so much. A lot more menial detective work than I would’ve thought going in.

10:21 “good, tense, sweaty buttcheek moments” 😅 love it! So hyped to play this, though like you mentioned that the first one was so original of an idea, that it might be hard to top it but still looks like an epic world to explore and looks like a beautiful world with all the over growing foliage.

Thanks for the always insightful videos and Before You Buys. Hyped to pickup my preorder tomorrow even more seeing all this gameplay.

Definitely my go-to channel for gaming news. Love your content. Game looks dope too, think I might get after they ironed it out a bit.

The game was spectacular in my first 10 hours, but oh boy as soon as I reached that main city I was overwhelmed af, in a good way, also the transition of travelling to the downtown district was just on point, reminded me of the journey to old town in the first game, except it’s a lot more cinematic here and tense.

You have gorgeous hair Mr baldino

Jake, you beautiful bean, your videos are the first I seek when I hear about a game.  Gotta go with who you trust and respect.  Also, don't recall if it was this vid or the gameranx one bc I watched them back to back, but thanks for the GamePro nostalgia!

I think that’s something people seem to forget when it comes to games nowadays: they are games. You have to suspend disbelief and give allowances. Obviously it doesn’t excuse hot messes but people need to remember why we play games. For fun.

And if I really want to see more Rosario ill go watch Alexander.  👀

Still love playing DL1 and after watching your Before You Buy and this Video, You've got me Giddy!!! nearly 1 Hour to go and Then I'm in heaven!!! Cheers and Keep up the great work!.
