They really went full Project Zomboid with this new update

Techland is one of the goats of updating their games with new content

The devs need to make the restored areas feel more lively. As it is now the cleared areas feel dead. You see 1-3 NPCs at a time but that's it. We should have DL2 type reclamation of territory. Like I figured the summer camp would turn into a survivor camp but nope. Just 1-3 dudes standing around, drinking a beer, fishing or skipping stones.

Playing the game on permadeath and it’s rough man.. all those hours clearing zombie outpost and the streets just to die on a mission.. hard but it got me hooked.. I want that skin.. imma get it no matter what

When you eventually clear an area of zombies, they don’t fully disappear, there’s still a small amount of them roaming around and you can still take them out and they’ll never  respawn again. As for the humans you can find some of them chilling around the area, and surprisingly they have a unique voice line that you get after clearing the area. For example an NPC might say something like “That’s the first step to rebuilding humanity” or “It feels peaceful again” or one npc will say directly to crane “Will you keep helping us, sir?”. All of these voice lines are new and interesting, it also shows how much effort Techland put into this update to make it perfect.

The Volatiles in the first game were no joke either. I avoided the nighttime whenever possible.

Techland is full of genuinely interesting ideas, it's just the inconsistent execution that holds them back a little. Even still, I really appreciate what they bring to the table.

3:40 - well I assume it will be just like Dying Light 2 where people start roaming around the safe zones, fixing stuff, killing zombies, etc.

Update is cool but hopefully they add more firearm's and mele weapons. I wish we can explore a new area of the map as a free update or something.

I played the survival mode one death couldn't even beat the first boss 😂

I managed to clear the old town part. Over time some survivors go to different spots within old town. Somtimes 1 and sometimes 3 in the same spot. But its just to make it feel more alive.

Its a nice addition but feels off too since not all zombies are gone or somehow respawned cause I still find some groups at times even tho it sais old town restored.

im happy these kind of vids are finally getting the traction they deserve!

Love love love the new video styles. I went from background watching to actually tuned in. Awesome progress ! Keep it up.

18 hour one life run on brutal, got cornered, threw a molotov in a panic and died instantly... thank f**k i sent my save manually to the ps5 cloud storage XD, re-downloaded it, and vowed to never make that mistake again. Only lost two hours of progress.

Restored Land is my dreams come true, since I was a kid I always wanted to purge the infestation

We need restored land in DL2

I've been doing one life mode, 4th runs so far. I was like 8 hours in... accidentally died when I threw a mine into a group of zombies and didn't back away in time. A wildly frustrating moment yet I immediately wanted to retry again.

"The light already died" damn bro

To quote a great man “I’m feeling quite hungry!”
