If you guys have any ideas that ties into upfitting or other things you wanna see feel free to comment on this video. I read everything and would love to see what my fellow Police car enthusiasts would wanna see so I can incorporate more of it in the channel.

And yet 90% of the time all you see is the Interceptor. They underutilized the cars they themselves made.

My only complaint to GTA 5's emergency vehicles was that in a game replicating California, they did not have the steady burning red. That would have been a neat little detail XD

Just a quick note, the mod you're using removes the flashing lights from the headlights. The Vapid Interceptor in vanilla does have some soft flashing accents in the headlights.

The LSPD Stanier is also slightly different from the Sheriff one in that it has 2 mirror lights on the windshield.

Another thing with the GTA cars, since California is San Andreas' basis, there's no at least red steady burn required by Cali law, or any amber to the rear which i think is more or less a suggestion. I'm not sure if the steady burn on the FIB buffalo is from the lighting mod or if it's like that in the base game, but none of the emergency vehicles in GTA have steady burns unless you add a mod.

The Sheriff SUV and the Buffalo were always my favorite. The FIB Buffalo was my favorite unmarked.

What you forgot to mention is that stanier LE cruiser has two variants ( im not talkin about blaine county sheriff ) 1st model has flat lightbar and 2nd has more roundy like the one on LE cruiser used by blaine county sheriff

If I’m not mistaken, but I’m sure that the interceptor (first car) does have front flashers.

If you activate the emergency lights at night, with the headlights off, you can see the extra lights.

Still, love your vids, I’m a big fan!

Investing in this reel this hits a specific spot in my ‘tism

2:10 YES this is the Vapid Police Cruiser irl, the 2010 Ford Police Interceptor Concept, not the 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan (NO, that's in GTA 6)

The 2010 Ford Police Interceptor Concept has a rounder front fascia, especially towards the headlights, grille, and bumper. The taillights are from the 2010 Ford Taurus just one rectangle, and the livery says "POLICE INTERCEPTOR" almost the same way the Vapid Police Cruiser says "POLICE" on it's livery, and not the LAPD/LSPD livery

Where the 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan has an angrier looking face that looks like a sci-fi metallic rugged looking police car with its angrier front fascia, and the taillights have 2 split horizontal white rectangles instead of one whole one. And this is the production version which will be in GTA 6 only the Concept version patrols you in GTA 5 only

7:37 Interestingly enough, at the time the game was made there did exist few examples of visor light configs, which were just 1 entire 'stick' instead of the 2 as seen normally nowdays. Good example of that would be Code 3 SuperVisor TC, which were combined into a single frame.

This could also be further interesting, as federal agencies such as FBI occasionally have used Code 3 products on their cars (not a shocker really, considering how many cars they have from so many different outfitters), so I guess it that decision by R* is probably one of the less questionable ones.

5:54 that is actually a 2011-2014 dodge charger, the bufdalo cruiser in the game is based on the 2006-2010 model.

Dude since you have a PC I HEAVILY advise you to try out the mod Rebalanced Dispatch Enhanced. It completely overhauls the police systems including the vehicles which were meticulously designed and are an identical match to the real cruisers. What I love about the mod is it’s also lore friendly, and it just makes the police cars look so much I better, can’t play without it.

Yk, I always had an issue with the fact that though they kept the wig wags in the rear they never tried to wig wags the headlights in the front, and not many of them use the reverse lights or even hazard lights for anything at all despite them being used in real life, it gets worse with the new Online cars that are perchaseable, their lights don't alternate in different flash patterns like the vanilla NPC ones, and on the older car models like the Faction or the LX the bushbar modifications that have duel red lights don't flash, even the newer model cars don't have any flashing in the pushbars, mostly just extra fog lights that work, or they use the led lights that obviously were meant to flash as extra high beam foglights, it IRKS me so much man. Don't even get me started on the complete lack of lighting on the Dorado SUV, can't make it into an undercover at all cause there's absolutely no other lights besides the light bar and tailight wig wags, that's it, sad despite how cool that vehicle is, and there an issue where some I've their vehicles have weak light bars that fly off completely if you hit a curb wrong. Completely takes all the lighting away with no pushbars lights or wig wag headlights that work, make me wish we could use the Hazard lights to at least have something blinking.

The valid does actually have headlight wigwags in blue! Make sure the headlights are off and you’ll see them

We can trust this guy

For vehicles that are mostly just for show in a way and for the AI cops to chase you, not truly meant for players to fully play or even RP with, they were not done terribly.

For those who bring up the steady red light thing. To be fair, R* wasnt going for realism for them, if they were then they would be much closer to the areas they are based off of. LSPD being LAPD so they wouldnt be having that stained red and blue lightbar style but LAPDs type and the interceptor wouldnt say POLICE in MASSIVE letters on the side, it would be basic black and white design with the logo like the buffalo and stanier so since they didnt do that, following CA law of must have a steady red would be the last thing they think of. I doubt they didnt make them closer because copyright considering theirs some things thats technically not copyrighted and some they could easily get permission to use like the proper LAPD oval lightbar considering its old and rarely used anymore.

So for base vehicles that technically didnt serve any actual purpose, they were done pretty well. I always did wonder if they did those light patterns themselves or if they took inspiration from a IRL department.

Do also the gta online police cars, some I think are invented but others are historicals

Actually there is a minor difference between LSPD and blaine county sheriff stanier. If you look closely the LSPD one always has those tiny flashers on the rearview mirror which the sherriff one lacks

Lapd crown Vic’s don’t have those push bumpers
