Weeknd had Often, The Hills, In the Night, Can’t feel my face, and Earned it all on the same album.

He dominated 2015

Angels is such an underated song. It's like riding a wave in the middle of the ocean. It takes you on a journey and envelops you in complete unique soundscape. It's suuuuch a masterpiece

The best part of shameless is the last part where he whispers “Girl I have no… no shame…”

I'm lowkey excited that you're gonna be ending on My Dear Melancholy. It's just an EP, but I think it's really considered his "breakup" album. A lot of sad and dark material. I love it, and I think you'll enjoy it a lot as well!

When you're caught up you should do a re-listen to Afterhours. His musical growth is really impressive and there are a lot of references that will be more meaningful when you've completed the journey.

This album was really a departure from his underground dark sound and a intro into his more mainstream pop influenced music

Angel is my favorite off of this album and Abel said that Angel was his favorite track off of this album too

In the night is an underrated song. Amazing lyrics and a great sound.

Fun Fact: All of “Can’t Feel My Face” is a double entendre. On one “side” of the lyrics, Abel’s obviously singing about a girl but, on the other “side” of the lyrics, he’s singing about cocaine. In other words, Abel basically disguised an entire song about cocaine as your regular old love song and the vast majority of the world never realized it. Genius.

There hasn’t been a single Weeknd song I haven’t loved. His ability to explore different sounds and how he apples his voice to them is what makes him an amazing artist and after hours really has my heart rn 😂😂 it’s what got me through 2020
