Spider-Man Almost Breaks His One Rule for the Joker

Keepin It Comic Full Story

99,617 views

Spider-Man/Batman Disordered Minds (1995) written by J.M. DeMatteis with art by Mark Bagley brings together two of the most iconic heroes in comics for a one shot that pulls Peter Parker into Gotham City to help Dr. Kafka handle Carnage, only to run straight into the Joker and a very personal test of everything Spider-Man believes in. Batman and Spider-Man are forced to team up against Carnage and the Joker while both heroes wrestle with the same trauma that shaped them, and the tension boils over into a moment that pushes Spider-Man closer to the edge than he's ever been. Expect Cletus Kasady, Cassandra Briar's chip therapy experiments, and a showdown on top of Gotham that neither hero walks away from unchanged. Let's Keep It Comic.

Joker and carnage are practically the same villain.The main differences are on joker's end.Joker is obsessive, and does it generally for the attention and praise Carnage, just does it cuz.He's Carnage

@Vexi-x3c 1 month ago

Suder-man kinda has a no kill rule, I say kinda cause he only kills people who can’t be redeemed, like Thanos for example.

Spiderman doesn't have a no kill rule, he has straight up told villains at times he'd kill them, it's why all his villains and many other heroes and villains of other teams respect him after interacting with him for years, Spider-man can and absolutely would kill most villains easily, Ock realized this as Superior Spiderman, Parker was always holding back to keep from maiming or killing someone, he just doesn't like to do it, because most villains have a small chance of redemption, but where Parker knows he needs to go no bars, he WILL. Also Parker like Flash KNOWS most of his villains, many of them are on a first name basis with him, but they understand why they shouldn't tell anybody who he is, much like how Batman's villains know Bruce's billionaire persona keeps crime Batman free during the day, Parker's villains and those of other heroes know that if you mess with Parker's family and friends (the ones who aren't already villains themselves) you will end up like King Pin or the select few other villains Spidey has unloaded on over the years.

correction.
spider-man does not have a no kill rule. he has a no kill preference. if he needs to, if he absolutely has to because there is no other choice- or you just pissed him off too badly (Fisk can tell you about that one)- he will slime you out.

If the Joker can emotionally break Superman in Injustice, he can mentally break anybody.

I’m pretty sure Bruce was seeing carnage in his nightmare (Not the guy who killed uncle ben), like Peter was seeing Batman’s villain (The Joker) in his nightmare.
