for an artist, there is no greater compliment than your live audience singing your songs with you ... and in tune too!!!

Filipino are music lovers and really love karaoke.

I belong to the 10% who cant sing, but in a concert the remaining 90% can cover it for me, I can sing my heart out!!!

Filipinos would sing along even if they can't understand the lyrics, even going as far as inventing similar sounding words and even parody songs.

Filipinos are music lover, singing is an outlet for us to express our emotion. We are exposed to music may it be new or classic song since we were born. Even singing competition is everywhere church, school, villages, work and etc..It's Embeded on the culture whether you are in tune or out of tune as long as you pour your hearts out as you sing. You could say that our whole country is like a musical show becuse everywhere you will go, there's someone singing.

My gf lives in the Phillipines and myself..in Canada.
I never realized the talent the Phillipines has and in almost everything.
Look at Efrin Reyes, the Pacman, the mixed martial arts also has amazing female fighters and yes the Fillipinos and their ability to sing...amd to be pitch perfect..is out of this world.
They'll break out singing in the streets, at work, in their classrooms and for no reason but the support by their peers and coworkers etc. is always there.
You should check out more and especially the unexpected improvs.
It's like almost every one of them were born to become famous somehow.
If anyone in the entire world that will keep music alive....its them.
Gotta love the Phillipines

A filipino only needs to hear the song twice to have it memorized, right down to every inflection in the song.

I'd say the Corrs one is the most significant of these impromptu singalongs, since the song they're singing is very easily 20+years old (enough that some of the members of the audience weren't even born at the time) yet they still have a massive crowd of people singing every word on perfect pitch.
