I don’t have a Leica but I love your videos

I don't even own a Leica (I have a Nikon) but still learned something new and enjoyed the images and video. Thanks!

Hi Roman, just a quick tip regarding AF mode: you can pinch to resize the focus box — make it larger or smaller depending on your needs. This works in many autofocus modes and allows for more precision when needed. Just use two fingers on the touchscreen to adjust it. ! 😀

What are the best settings if I don't want to take pictures with it, just take shots of it sitting on my desk?

Man I’ve been waiting for this for so long! I bought your guide as well! I remember wishing you already had this video when I got my Leica last year

Very helpful video - I’m a professional photographer and I could use my Nikons blindfold! But finally treated myself to a Leica Q3 43 .. and looking forward to using it very much.
Thanks for your advice

This was super helpful. Thanks for posting. Are you updating your Leica Q3 for firmware 4.1.0?

Top drawer. Just bought one and this was ace.

1:32 agree this was the best feature of these customizable buttons. It’s a bummer they broke it in FW 4.0.0, not yet fixed on 4.1.0 either. Can’t wait for this feature to come back.

You can switch between photo and video modes just by swiping horizontally on the display by default too. That frees up the center button for something else if you wanted.

Love all your content, I have bought your guides for Fuji cameras! I finally was able to get a Q2! Will these settings translate to that as well?

6:55 look at that range of shutter speeds for min shutter speed. Love to see it. Fuji took forever to do this and won't update old cameras. I am stuck at 1/500th. I have found 1/1000 is needed and I can grab it on the dial but then if I adjust aperture I can easily over expose.

Great video. Just bought the guide!

Thanks!

Watching even though I don’t have a Leica. Good tips even though I don’t own this camera.

Great video for this camera and nice to see one based upon usability.

Minimizing the menus on the long button press was something that I’d missed. It makes a massive difference in getting to your frequently used functions.

Another top tip, if you set the burst mode to 2fps, you’ll also get rid of the annoying “blackout” between shots. It’s likely that you’ll only take 1 shot anyway at that burst speed.

(Also bought the guide, highly recommended reference)

Just downloaded firmware 4.0.0 and would love to hear your opinion on the update in a new video. Personally I haven't expected such a solid update from Leica and I'm very pleased with both the AF-related and the UX improvements. Great videos, keep them coming!
