In the wake of "Widow's Bay" hitting big, it sure looks like they leaned into the comedic elements of this for the trailer. Hard to imagine them ending it with a head-scratching "Dumb and Dumber" type shot/joke if they weren't aiming for and taking advantage of a "Widow's Bay"-style horror/mystery/comedy vibe, whether the show actually has as much comedy as "WB" or not.
