Carol Brailey and other color analysts often analyze people as true springs when they are clearly softies, and then claim that true springs are often mistyped as soft summers/autumns. In reality, these true spring colors are so overpowering that they work only when you put a bright warm lipstick on. Then, the color matches the lipstick. Not your eyes, nor your skin.
Same logic applied, you can put black-framed glasses on and pull off a black blazer. It will match the black frames on your face and look harmonious. However, these won't be your natural contrast or intensity level if you remove the black-framed glasses.
So, the question is, do bright colors work if you don't have any makeup on? True springs really have that natural intensity - bright and clear eyes, more luminous skin, so they don't need full make-up on for the bright garments to work on them. They naturally lift them up.
This is an educated opinion. I am practicing as a color analyst and speaking from experience.

Your soft, gentle, golden colouring  especially in your hair, reminds me of Gigi Hadid, who has been typed as Soft Autumn. She might be an inspiration for you moving forward. I could totally see you looking stunning in Soft Autumn colours!

I’m pretty confused about how you will use your new information but I’ve always seen you as soft and maybe neutral leaning warm. Definitely not dark as far as makeup goes. You have very nice features. I’m looking forward to seeing how you implement this new information.
I understand why you have continued to explore this field. Sometimes I put on some old tee shirt or something and the color makes such a huge difference which makes me try to make sense of it in terms of my color palettes, new and old. I just can’t seem to recreate the effect of that old tee shirt.

In future content, it would be cool to see you compare the TS pallete and your Kitchner color results. I'm curious to know the similarities/differences.

Just from looking at you, I don’t think a classic outfit of jeans and white t shirt would look rather flat on you. I think sweaters that are off the shoulder or draped cowl neck tops would look amazing

I’m actually impressed how many comments there are about being muted or soft which I understand it’s normal for a lot of people to not grasp the meaning of the words soft neutral , brighter, muted etc … but here’s the thing : if you have study colorimetric, photography or even more important : painting , that’s when you understand how everything will blend and the meaning of this words in colorimetric it’s not the same as what a lot of people think . An example for that is thinking about the palette True autumn; this one  has a lot of black pigment in all of the colour chart with that being said you as a person will have this qualities on you because it’s harmony what we look for , now true summer has greys  or whites inside of all the colour palette when you take a primary colour and add grey it will diffuse or with white it will look brighter  So true summer it’s not “muted” as a lot of Pinterest post or TikTok accounts will say , I know its a lot of information and again terms like tones ,tints and shade it’s not your everyday language and you have to train your eyes to be able to see , mix , and create amazing things but you have to study this to understand and at the end of the day play with makeup , clothes etc . But it is saddening to see how people on the internet summarises all of this contexts as just do whatever you want it doesn’t make a difference while there’s a big group of people that invest studying bachelors or even more to create something like graphic designers , marketing , architecture, interior design etc

I agree with John’s analysis. Your eyes are larger than average but not round like a true ingenue. Your lips are also larger than average and are balanced with your eyes so that’s where classic comes in. And yes, your romantic essence is perfect and the natural of course is your main essence. I see no gamine at all because your features aren’t quirky but mature and more dramatic. And I also agree with the muted colouring and low-medium contrast. ❤❤❤

I love this result for you! I’ve been quietly watching your channel for awhile, and was as confused by your analysis as you were. Like you, I’m very neutral in my palette, and I think there’s such a void in color analysis that presumes that everyone is either cool or warm. I think most people are neutral, honestly. If you start from that idea and just look at what looks good and what you feel good in, rather than rules and dogma, these systems can be life-changing. I’m excited to see your new style come together.

I was typed 30 years ago as winter and stuck to that religiously until I got retyped for fun with my teenage daughters last year for my fiftieth birthday. I’m apparently a soft autumn! My life has been a lie 😂 Six months later, I don’t promote color palettes like I once did. I’m just sitting with the confusion for a while and just ask my daughters’ opinions when I buy something new. For me, I just don’t have the bandwidth to sort it all out right now. Maybe when I turn 60 😊

I've been enjoying hearing about your exploration, it has been so interesting to hear your thoughts and see your examples! I still feel partial to your true spring result. I think part of the disconnect for me between your true spring colors is when it comes to your makeup  because I find that your makeup still leans more autumnal or perhaps warm spring, and is maybe a bit more intense than I'd expect for true spring. True spring is fully warm but it isn't the warmest or brightest of the palettes and I think the challenge is finding colors that are the right blend of light (white added, not necessarily bright), warm (not too warm), and clear, and I feel like that clear is the hardest part. I think it's very easy to go too warm and too bright for a true spring which is more clear and less intense than those two. So perhaps that is where some of the disconnect is coming from, perhaps you've found colors that veer too much into warmth and brightness. It's a really common true spring experience to believe we're more muted than we are because our natural coloring doesn't appear that intense in many cases (dark blonde, sometimes mousy hair, eyes that aren't super light and obviously clear). I don't know, you look lovely regardless!

Like you, I was dark blonde when younger and was called an Autumn, then years later, a Spring. I also am soft and muted like you, and felt the “sweet spot” in each season and that extremes of the palette didn’t fit anymore.  I’m going gray now, so I’m actually gravitating toward some neutral and some Summer tones like plums, roses, sage green.  I too love purple. Maybe our seasons change, and maybe we look at them differently as time goes on.  Also, we don’t all, as you say with the Kitchener results, fit into the boxes and have several facets. Re body types:  I’m the old, fat body type, which Kibbe doesn’t have 😂

you never really looked like a true spring to me since you mentioned a lot of the time that some of those colors are too bright on you. springs are light bright and warm, so all of those should have been excellent on you, but I always thought you are more muted. however I didn't want to contradict you since you were happy to be a spring. the only people I trust online are color analysis studio from Australia. I was analyzed by them and saw how spot on their analysis are in person and online. so many people in  my life got analyzed by them and they all look great in their best colors.

In some videos by colour class,they talk about missing seasons, soft spring being one of them. I could see spring but not true spring. There's even a mention of a soft spring/light autumn hybrid.

Romantic is truly about lines of being soft and curvy to mimic those in your figure. it can be casual or glamorous

I would have said Soft Autumn right away. COLOR CLASS teaches any mixed or ish is a soft.

I think these classifications can stifle individual style and creativity.

I can tell how happy you are with your new results. I totally can relate to having results that feel right and not feeling the need to seek out other results. I was color analyzed as a Warm Autumn, but it did not feel right to me and then I was re-analyzed as a Cool Summer and I get so many more compliments from other people on how I look when I wear the Cool Summer palette. Plus I love the Cool Summer colors. I think there is something to be said about enjoying your color palette.

The palette that John Kirchner created for you looks a lot (imo) like the True Summer palette. My understanding is that the TS is the only one that doesn't do well with orange and yellow. In the photos you showed without makeup your skin looked cool toned to me, in my inexpert opinion. The greens John pulled for you will be gorgeous with your eyes, how fun!
