For the past several weeks our home has been sitting in a gas station parking lot after a major axle failure. While we've been adapting to life in our unfinished bus, we've been waiting for one phone callāthe one telling us our new axles had finally arrived.
In this episode, we drive back to Alabama, meet the incredible people who helped make this possible, and attempt to replace both RV axles ourselves... right in the same parking lot where everything went wrong. What starts as an exciting day quickly turns into another challenge as stripped hardware, cracked brackets, dead batteries, and missing parts threaten to stop us once again.
Thankfully, with a lot of determination (and a little creativity), we finally get our travel trailer back on its wheels. After weeks of uncertainty, we tow our home away, weigh the camper to make sure everything looks right, and spend our first night back inside together.
