Thank you so much. We learnt about how an ordinary Chinese wedding will be. Some of the customs are common to India. Especially gifting money is common in Tamilnadu and Souhern states of India.Parental care is similar to India.
We  believe rain on a wedding day is a good sign of prosperity. Long live the couple.

I am surprised the guests, especially the bride and groom's parents, are dressed so casually. Is there a reason for this?
I am also curious why there wasn't a formal ceremony with an officiant. Is this type of wedding traditional in China?

Thank you very much for this fine wedding video . It is heartening to learn the traditions almost similar to India . Family bondings , togetherness and gentle and respectable interactions between guest relatives and hosts were noticeable all the time .

I went through something similar thirty three years ago in SIngapore. My wife's people came from the Fukien province in the south, so the traditions may be slightly different. The traditional attire we did use at the photo studio, but at the actual wedding day. We did serve red date tea, not only to her parents, but also to her siblings and their spouses, and aunties and uncles. Good Memories from a time in a sunnier country than Norway where we live now.

My fosterfather gave me away said to my husband take care of our daughter. We had our own surprise for them because my fosterparents married on June 9th and we on June 12th 1993 they where married for 25 years so we had the surprise i asked them up front before our first dance. I said mom dad, we love you 25 years ago you married dad with one rose, today 1 rose please share the dancefloor with us. We also had gifts for both parents. Although it seemed one couple dancing on the floor in pictures and video at first there where three sets. And we switched from daughter father mother son, mother in law and dad and so on. I had choosen the song “you are my hero” from Anny Schilder, that was the song that played in the disco when we started off, on december 2the on my best friends birthday. She dated his best friend and we where joking they leaving us alone all the time! It was a set up. Now 33 years later still happily married our friends where not that lucky. We are so opposite but yet complimentary together. His best friends sister said you won’t last 5 years. She also didn’t last long in her marriage.
