Rick Adelman passed away a few hours ago at 79. R.I.P (June 16, 1946 - June 1, 2026). He is with Duck, Jerome, Coop, Cliff and I know he wasn't apart of the blazers at this point in history, but R.I.P to Petro as well.

Somehow the NBA wants to force place this new no defense, three point centric league to us. The passion and the schemes of a half court game and fast break was awesome and to me kept us locked in for every bucket that went in. The Jazz were my team back then. This hurt.

Blazers could have had Arvydas Sabonis (7’4 with 3-pt shot and passing skills) on this team.
They drafted him in 1986 and held his rights. But he played in Spain til 1995, and who can fault him for that, beautiful people everywhere, weather, food.
Loved using him on early 2K games.
