"Pale white face, hollow sunken eyes and no nose." Sounds like Voldemort to me.

I was listening to this and right when she was telling us about the name of these creatures being called “Crawlers”. My back door opened and my dog started barking and my heart leaped from my chest. It was just my wife coming back home from an errand lmfao. This was indeed a heart starts pounding episode.

I would never deny the possibility of the existence of these creatures, or that they could be living in the cave system, but the most logical reason for the correlation between disappearances and the cave locations is simply people finding them, exploring and getting lost or trapped. Or falling into a crevice above one.

That 911 dispatcher needs to be relieved of her job, she was terrible

@bobbiebeck5361 6 months ago

I listened to the first 911 call in full length. That dispatcher was absolutely stupid.

"Fleshgaits" are literally just a creepypasta invention. It's a play on skinwalker. Flesh=skin gait=walk

BTW do not listen to this in the shower. My fiancee scared the crap out of me because this story was putting me on edge and he entered the bathroom.

Please don't take this as an insult because I mean it as a compliment. With that being said, you have the best voice for sleeping. It's not monotone or boring it's just soothing. In fact I think I'm going to go take a nap right now.

The thing that gets me about these reddit post are how they all seem to be written by creative writing students.

I might be a crazy person, but the Fresno nightcrawlers are a HUGE case of “if not friend, why friend-shaped?” for me.

That 911 call had all my hair standing on end. I've lived in rural areas my whole life, I've seen and heard things humans aren't supposed to know, but the terror in that man's voice has adrenaline running through me

I saw an interview with the guy this happened to, the caller, and to be specific, he said he saw a man with blood on his head wearing what appeared to be a civil war uniform. He considered if there had been a reinactment happening nearby and somehow he got injured. So he was initially callin to report that when the thing with this other entity occured...

Oh my god, French Canadian First Nations here! Thank you for pronouncing Quebec right! And also yeah Canada is full of creepy shit. Whatever you do don’t mess with nature out here because nature always wins. Growing up on my rez (in Quebec City) we were taught young that the forest and land hid energies. There’s good land and bad land and even bear don’t enter the bad lands on the Rez. Some spots are pretty small others are bigger, but trust me when I say a bear is scary but you don’t want to find out what scares bears out of the forest.

A young dude i work with says he saw non-human face staring at him from the edge of his grandparent's property when he was out playing with his cousins about 10 years ago. He says they saw it too. His grandma apparently sees them occasionally, and she ended the outdoor play for the rest of the day after that. Ill believe it when i see it, but he isnt the first person ive heard with a weird story like that

Missouri resident here. Born and raised and currently live in the Missouri Ozarks. We have a shitload of bluffs & caves here. Theres 2 on my property. The only other state with more caves than Missouri is Tennessee. Alot of them are unmapped and unexplored. Ive spent my whole life hearing stories about things living in the caves, and my grandpa had always claimed that he shot something "pale and gangly" that he had watched coming and going in and out of the caves, and harassing the livestock. There are alot of stories, legends, and tales about things in the woods here in the Ozarks, and theres plenty of people who have seen and encountered some pretty crazy scary stuff out here. Our property borders the national forest, and my wife and I, as well as our kids, have all heard some pretty strange sounds that we can't identify coming from the woods every now and then. I never venture out into the woods around here unarmed. I always have a shotgun or rifle in the side-by-side, and my .44 in a holster my hip.

The Fresno nightcrawler sounds to me like the Dr. Seuss “Pants with nobody inside them” from the story “What was I Scared of?”

The first time I heard that 911 call I think I nearly had a heart attack from how fast my heart was beating. Mainly the thud of the creature landing in the bed of his truck, and him saying "That's not human!" I don't think I could stay professional.

@keegobricks9734 6 months ago

Honestly, there's probably quite a few non-human living organisms in the woods. Really anywhere, humans make up actually a very small percentage of biological entities on this planet.

Years ago my dad was watching TV one night and noticed the motion light kick on in the driveway. He looked out and saw what he described as a pale, gangly creature dragging its body across the driveway with what appeared to be pale bat wings or something hanging from its arms. My dad never claimed to see anything like it before that or since, but I will never forget how badly he was shaken from that experience. He was genuinely messed up over it, and maintained it's what he saw until his last day on earth. This was in central southern Michigan, near Lansing.
