Where to Stay in Bangkok: Is Paying More Worth It?

Bangkok has many hotels so it may be tricky to find out where to stay. But worry not! We've tried 4 hotels ranging from budget to (very) expensive, to see how far your money goes in Bangkok and if spending more is actually worth it.

For each hotel we'll show you the rooms we stayed at, the facilities and the breakfast of course! At the end we'll reveal our favorite hotel which we believe is most worth it.

As always we fully fund our stays ourselves.

wow 10.000 baht hotel looks very nice but Bangkok has so many hotels in many price ranges... so its nice to finally see someone comparing them!! Thanks!!

What a great video! Love the style of your videos and was very interesting to see the value at each price point, particularly between the last two hotels. For me, I always love having a balcony with a view if possible but that in itself tends to place you somewhere between the last two price points. Thanks for sharing!

Very Nice video. Good comparison for each budget. I agree your conclusion. It you only want to sleep the more expensive hotels are not necessary. Save your money for good food

My sin-in-lawand daughter stayed at Kimpton Maalai for over a week last year. It was a very good hotel and dog friendly. Also the breakfast was great.

Love the concept and content of this video. I live in Bangkok and this video has inspired me to do some “Staycations” using this concept. I think I want to limit myself to one neighborhood at a time but use your doubling method. Thanks

I stayed at the Night Hotel and you touched on the thing I hated about it. The traffic in that little side street was crazy. When I was there they had a man with a flag stationed outside stopping the cars in that narrow little street just so we could get to the hotel. It was very off-putting.

I know a vast array of Bangkok hotels and I find your review very comprehensive in term of lodging. More info about the district would add some value as visitors come with various expectations...I appreciate particularly your price display in several currencies

For me Personaly i like the Grand Center Point Group they got great Hotels, Minibar every day all included and a large Breakfast buffet, Gym and many have SPA options and Pool

fair review; as usual in life, the extra-amount of money you're spending on "upgrading" stuff is usually not felt as being "in proportion" to the %price increase. Just see economy to business and business to first class fares for planes. Regarding your compared hotels, i'd say the Hilton deal was the one with the best value-for-money relation, but it depends on your personal needs/wishes/budget (and also if you're maybe having a personal preference due to loyalty programs and status benefits etc). Also depends on your expectation in terms of location in Bangkok.
