Don't think ive been this excited for an update. I plan on creating the Nevada Northern. Not the entire route, focused on the ore operations.

This is such a fantastic update.  When I saw this video drop the other day I was so impressed.  My favorite is the horn config where you can see what keys they are in.  Being a musician this got my attention.  Love the F7 train edition.  Honestly I feel the map editor will put Trainz Surveyor 1 and 2 to shame.

The biggest reason for the push for internal modding support was due to one person.  One person made a single piece of middleware that nearly every modder used to build their things (track editions, a hump yard route extensions and so on.  This person had a very public temper tantrum, removed it from Nexus Mods and the personal website.  In place of this personal website was a very immature rant (that got very political).  So one person screwed the entire Railroader modding community by removing the only middleware app that made all those amazing mods work.  Adam (the lead dev of Railroader) heard this story and it's what convinced he and the team to move forward with it.

I live in Utah and I have two Utah Belt-9 and an SD40 - 2 lol I have that mixed up with a few Utah Railway units. One of them being my favorite of all of my locos. The MK50-3 I know there is someone out there that has 3D printed one. But I just heavily scratched built mine. It took a very long time to get it anywhere near as good looking as it does now.

As a railroader player I see the livery and whistles/horns now as fluff. Yeah they are cool but the game is at the point where MOW and the Map editor are the biggest features I have been waiting on. Good to see they are nearly here.

I'm excited to try to model SP's San Ramon Branch or the Bay Point & Clayton which are local...but I really want to try to create a full digital version of the Yosemite Valley in 1939 like Jack Burgess' layout.

I like the low hood gp9

Between run8, this, and age of steam whenever that drops I'm Excited for the future of train sims.

Need to ready my Lehigh Valley Railroad for fresh paint! About to pull a lot of old iron into the paint shops, been running my diesels into the ground.

The map he brought up is the Blue Ridge Sub, so ex-Clinchfield. I don't think he ever said how big the maps can be, but I'm gonna assume it's not gonna be over a 40 mile square.

This is a game changer. I could spend a lot of time with map editing. I would build the old Central of Georgia savannah to Atlanta route.

One thing about this update let's Go ,I hope they make  downloading mods easier . Mods make this game chug.

I'm excited for Railroader's experimental version!! I'll check it out when it comes out. :)

Can’t wait it’s going to be amazing

TY for the video, Spur.  I was not really following this game as I am not a huge steam fan.  Yeah, I know.  I will say that this loco and terrain detail would be AMAZING in modern railroading as well.  Perhaps they could stop by the Run8 office and help them nail together a graphics update!  This plus Run8 would be amazing (to me).  I'd pay.

A septa line runs by my house, I may recreate that! Super hyped!

Love to see the new itf updates or itf2 game see there’s new updates to firefighter sim

Lets goo

Spur, the coordinates on the video where Adam is building the map is at the 9:32 mark, it's in Western North Carolina, kind of east north east of Asheville....   Edit... Yes to "the loops".

I am not impressed. The number #1 problem with the game. OPTIMIZATION.  Vanilla Railroader played at Tier 5 is still a lagfest .  20 fps is not acceptable.  You shouldn't have to bring the rendering and trees down to zero, just to play it on a 5070.  STEAM will not give it a "Green Checkmark" till this is addressed. Nowhere in the video was this adressed other then the Unity upgrade to 6.4.       Made a big deal about the water spout not splicing into the tender. How about the physical violations of size in the game.   Locomotives dont go under 12 foot tall coal loaders ,  ( I am 6'8"- I hit my head allot) no damage when hitting obstructions ($$$). Human figures running 45mph alongside trains and able to leap tall trains in a single bound? Why is " crouching" important? Turn the coal conveyor around and simulate Ash management...its a coal fired railroad. You need to dump every few hours. Ever heard of" cinders". Game already has tipples, dont need two types of fuel loaders. Game has real bridges and trestle.  No railroad puts a trestle wadeing thru a river. .make it upgradeable?    The F units.   No lift rings, front or back, no AC units, no Winterization hatch, no icle cutters. No mars light. No over and under light. Footstep lights.  The coal loading in the tenders. FILL THEM.  No fireman ever filled the tender to 90%. Everypicture , every video ever shows a loading of coal " heaped" at the tipple. Fireman would fill to the 16' 0 high mark 110% . Did they fix the weight problems? Not every loaded car is 50 tons..   the era of time a player wants to play should be addressed. Wood side and truss cars were outlawed in 58.  I should stop now. My blood pressure is leaking from the scab on my head. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
