I immigrated to Türkiye in 1990 from the USA. Today, I'm a naturalized citizen enjoying my retirement years in Antalya. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. P.S. I'm a practicing Buddhist and have never had any issues. No matter where you live, if you respect your adopted country and its culture, there aren't any problems. Ne mutlu Türk'üm diyene!

Honestly if someone moves to a country and then deliberately refuses to learn and talk their language, this is just a very very bad behaviour. No one has to accept English as their second language. Turks have not been colonialised physically, so good that they don't have a second unofficial language like French or English.

if turkey could fix the smoking and immigration problems, it would quite literally be HEAVEN on earth and am not saying that lightly!, it has everything you could possibly ever need TILL death is available in turkey especially Istanbul.
1. good housing

it's just amazing, i'll make sure to go there every ramadan!

Turkey, a legacy of the Ottoman Empire, is a very cosmopolitan country. By cosmopolitan, I don't mean diverse nationalities. Even among Turks, there are vastly different ways of thinking, living, and cultures. You can never generalize your experiences. I'm sure that if you lived in a completely different district, you would have met completely different people and had a completely different experience.

A Turkish brother from Istanbul.

PS: everything aside, I admire the fact that your recent videos about Türkiye triggered such interesting discussions and attracted Turkish audience!

Thanks for sharing — you've made a great summary of what living in Turkey is really like.

You are really respectful. Tnx.

As a 20 years old, been living in Istanbul for almost my entire life everything you said is correct brother :)

As a Turk I'm glad to hear your thoughts about Turkey.

Very interesting what you said about that in Turkey there is a way to study the religion to it's fullest extent. I say this because sometimes I go up with a question to a sheikh, who then blatantly says that I must leave this question and focus on my prayers, whilst for me I need to have the certainty of knowledge. Can you pinpoint me to these institutes where this is possible. I would gladly research these places and perhaps study there.

1-There is a fault in your thinking about turkey. On onehand, you seem to appreciate the difference of turkey visa vis other muslim countries; yet you don t realise this is the result of secular republic.
2- turkey has been supporting millions of arap refugees for more than ten years. This created unemployment and inflation in the country. People want refugees to go back to tjeir country since war subsided. People are strugling with difficult economic and social issues. Problem is not, only, racial precidis.

You can learn everything about Islam in Arab speaking country except justice, education. You can learn Arabic, hadith in an Arab country but not what Quran teaches about justice

SUBHANALLAH UAE just allowed praying Dhuhur during studying hours in school yesterday 😅
