I was blown away by the success of My First Time Playing Palworld and got so many lovely comments from people wanting to see me play more. So I of course turned that trying-the-game-out session into a series…without realizing how long this game is. As of recording this outro, I have 14 hours of unedited footage sitting on my PC and 66 hours in-game…and I still haven’t beaten it.

If I keep the format of this series the same, these highly-edited episodes, under an hour generally, I’m going to be in trouble. It’d be minimum 10, maybe 12 to 15 episodes, and each one drops off significantly in views. Part 2 has under half the views of Part 1. This matters because they cost money to edit. Some parts are already barely profitable, and pretty soon, new parts will lose money, which I clearly want to avoid!

But I also am genuinely enjoying the game, and I don’t want to just stop posting to enjoy it off-camera because so many of you have been so kind and supportive of the videos. I don’t want to be like Netflix and prematurely cancel a show that people love.

So the rest of my playthrough will be posted to MandJTV VODs, formerly MandJTV Clips from when I thought it was better strategy to post Short-form vertical videos to a separate platform. A few of you may already be subscribed to it.

The Palworld videos on VODs will be less-edited but far longer, multiple hours per video. Think of it like a streamer’s VOD channel where they post stream replays…it’s just that I didn’t live stream anything. The Palworld series there will go until I beat the game. Going forward, MandJTV VODs will serve as a home for more laid-back, less edited gameplay, so we can keep Plays as the channel for highly-produced projects, like Team Sky. They’ll form a pair like the Main channel and Extra: one is highly produced, bigger projects, one is easier and chiller.

So if you want to see Palworld continue, subscribe to MandJTV VODs. Once the first Palworld video is up on that channel, I will add it here for you to click on. Thanks for supporting me in this change of pace. Clearly I was not prepared to handle successful Palworld content, but it means a lot that y’all wanted to see me do something that wasn’t Pokemon.

Just a reminder about fishing. Bait only makes the bar in the mini game bigger thus making it easier to catch. It does not effect what pals you catch in the fishing spot as that is pre determined by the area. Fishing rods also make the mini game easier and are worth upgrading for. There are also 2 pals with in party passives that also assist in fishing and are worth getting and maxing out for the end game zone fishing zones which are no joke.

Quick tip, you should replace your base foundations with stone. Wood burns, and if the foundation is destroyed, you also lose whatever is on top of it. This is especially an issue if you have the palbox on a wood foundation. If you get raided by enemies that use fire, you could lose your whole base.

When placing structures there is a replacement mode option to make doing so easier.

Tip: you probably noticed but, each boss has a levels, going from 10 to 20 to 30 and so on!
So make sure you beat the boss for your level area, some good resource farms for the base need you to defeat the bosses

So fun little fact. There's actually challenge runs in Palworld called "No Pals", where you exclusively use humans and the Terraria Monsters.
Oh, not sure if anyone explained this or not, but the leveling fast thing isn't just because of casual difficulty. It's actually a side effect of the rebalancing done for 1.0. Originally you had to catch 12 of each pal for the full exp bonus, but for 1.0 they changed that to 5. The problem is  that it still gives the same amount of bonus exp as catching 12, just squished down.
