Am I the only one who likes the new design?, not as much as the Pen F but I still like it.

I've gone ahead and pre-ordered the PEN.  I'm a Canon shooter for when I'm going for a big camera that has image quality.  I got invested in OM System for small portability.  I've had their flagship camera (OM1m2 and IR converted EM1m3), and I skipped the OM3 due to its price and seemingly being crimped features from the OM1 (that I bought when it was on sale and same price as OM3).  This is a good price point for features I'd use with travel/street photography-and it supporting the new film color profiles (that you can customize) might get me to start doing SOOC jpeg.  I have f2.8 zooms, so I also ordered the kit lens.  I also have the OM 17mm 1.8 for small walk around lens.

om 20mm f/1.4 - Great lens

Hello from Finland. Some good thinking there. One thing people speak lot about OM cameras, is the access to the power switch, like "blaah it is on a wrong side" or something. I have never understood that, even as an OM-3 user. OM System cameras have the function called "Quick Sleep Mode". While that is on, you very rarely need to access the power switch at all. Save a setting of 3 second, and right after taking a picture camera goes to sleep. Touch the shutter, and camera wakes up in a fraction of a second. So, in street photography etc. this is even faster way to take photos than fiddling with the power switch (even if it is now on the right side as with the new Pen). To activate the Quick Sleep Mode you have to turn wifi / bluetooth off.

Of course I have pre-ordered the OM Pen to be my everyday carry camera, the OM-3 is just a little too heavy for that. But excellent for everything else.

The empty space is the area in which you place the red target dot. 😎

The film Pen was the design inspiration, not the Pen-F.

I was considering purchasing the Lumix L10 since I was resigned to never seeing a Pen-F II materialize.  The L10 is a fine camera for EDC but what I really wanted was some of the OM5-II capabilities like live ND, Live composite, IBIS, focus stacking and weather sealing in compact rangefinder; and then I woke up on September 9th to a miracle!  The aesthetics are not as sexy as the Pen-F, but the OM Pen ticks every other box I was waiting for so I did not hesitate to preorder.

I preordered as soon as I could. This is everything I wanted. I was seriously considering the fuji x-e5, but it's like $700 more and I don't own any fuji glass, while I've got most of the m43 glass I'm interested in already.

I've been wanting a rangefinder style camera for a long time because I have a big ass nose, and while I love my DSLRs, after shooting for a day my nose hurts. On my Nikon Z6ii I usually shoot more from the screen even though I much prefer the viewfinder due to my nose getting in the way.

Reminds me of the fuji X30

You got two choices. Go with the new splash resistant kit lens and one of the average weather resistant prime lenses as your secondary system. Or go with F4 zoom lens with 20mm 1.4 prime. It’s not complicated. Money is always an issue paying for $6 diesel and tariffs bonuses to corporations. 🤷‍♂️

I absolutely agree about the look and the empty space ,it doesn,t look right.

Nikon user here and ordered this, and the OM 20mm f/1.4

New subscriber…The empty bump obsevtaion is true🤔could have a button or something! .. but the upgrade from EP7 is good👍

Neat I didn't know you had another channel for this stuff. Anyway I'll probably grab the black one cause that weird blank space. Been waiting for a Pen-F successor forever and this isn't exactly it, but for the price, close enough. Hopefully there'll be a higher end one in the lineup down the line.

I'll be coming from a Lumix GX7 which is generally fine...but never really liked the look of, among other little things I forget about that bugged me. I do have that 20mm pancake and the 45mm you mention though, loved those lenses.

I also own the OM System 20 mm f4 lens.
It is indeed a totally magnificent lens. Carries the Zuiko brand name on its front as well.
This would be the best lens for the new OM Pen. IMO.

Bump reminds of the film Oly Pen F

That blank spot has been nagging me as well, BUT, there are stickers, and they can be printed in a stylized gothic font of an F, for example.
The rest of the camera excites me greatly. I already have some M43 lenses in my house, and I don\t want an SLR experience, like the OM5 mk2.. soooooooo, yeah, considering it really hard.

With the high panel on the left side it looks like the Fuji X30

Today I went to the shop to buy some Kodak UltraMax 400 and, whilst I was there, I realised I’d like to get some Kodak EKTAR 100 and Kodak Vision 3 250D by Nolan Film as well. I was told that these aren’t the best choice for my Ektar H35n. So now I’m wondering which camera to go for.

I was thinking the PEN didn't look too bad, and then you showed the L10 and it's no competition. Still, it looks way better than a Sony, and it'll most likely be my next camera.
