brotha here from 2025, was about to give up on my walkman and can say that this fixed the issue so quick. thank you.

I was having a hard time figuring out how to open a similar model, the D-EJ011, until I saw how you separated the two sides. Thank you for this video!

I almost threw my Sony D-EJ101 Walkman with the same problem away. Thanks to this video I was able to repair it!!

That's the most  well  designed CD walkman i have ever seen.

great video thank you for showing how to disassemble and repair

Just got one on a bargain of 3dlls, had this exact issue and this fix worked instantly
The only thing i will do next is grease it once i have grease at hand
Thank You so much 🎉😊

Man you are a literal godsend, please continue doing what you do 🫶

Me sirvio muchas gracias hermano

My stuff has been in storage for almost 10 years. I found my old Walkman in a box and I think it has the same problem. I'll update once I get it fixed. I just need to buy some grease.

mine says disc when I close the lid, then it spins and then after a couple seconds I fear a faint beep and it stops working? Any ideas what is wrong please?

if the screen says there is no disk, or the spindle is too low and needs to be raised, or the diode shines dimmer than necessary. in the second case you have to adjust the brightness. but this is a temporary measure.

I was able to fix my Sony cd walkman(D-FJ041) by adjusting the drive height. The cd was too close to the lens and couldn't read it. Cd's play fine now.

Can you do a video on how to repair one if you accidentally left the battery in

cool i have the same one with the same problem
