Great stuff! I normally do cassette walkmans but saw a cheap cd walkman on ebay and thought I'd have a go! Been watching a couple of your videos to familiarise myself with what to expect when it arrives. At least there's no belt goo to clean up!

Hi Gerry, I would love your help please! I recently picked up a Coby CX-CD309 Portable compact disc player and am/fm radio with speakers from the thrift store and the problem is this- when I put new batteries in the radio was working but with a cd in, the display does not turn on and the motor doesn’t seem to be working/spinning. Even when using a 4.5 AC adapter the same problem persists. With the guidance of your videos I was able to take it apart but I’m not sure where to go from here. It is connected by a ribbon cable, do you think it is still possible to fix this?
