Yes I too usually do a couple of 8a boulders on the kilterboard to warm up. Thank you for being so relatable Jakob

The gap between very very strong climber and pro climber is staggering.

Crazy that Louis is that guy that flashes everything at your gym, and is a level of strong most of us can't even dream of. And then Jakob makes him look like he's as weak as the rest of us. Shows how insanely strong those truly elite climbers really are. I'd be curious to see Sorato on some of those !

Getting a backwards dyno to a blocked crimp on the first go is such a testament to how comfortable and precise Jakob is!

Louis is so strong and this shows how much of a freak pros are 😅

The immediate montage after he says "I'm such a punter" had me laughing loudly in my empty house.

Love the energy from Jakob.

Would have been super interesting to hear from the setters, they always seem so mysterious.. like climbing route elves that sneak in the night a create magic routes. Would love to know what they thought about the routes and conversation around trending climbing styles etc

Jacob has so much Dad-energy it's insane. Seems like a super wholesome dude. Also what an absolute beast. Props to the route setters for creating something that he's absolutely able to do but still juuuust over the limit with the time restriction

So cool to be in the age where we get to see incredible athletes at the top of the sport goof around and show off. Jakob is so chill and so strong! Great content`

I am surprised Louie didn't come in with positive mindset coaching when Jakob called himself a punter: No no, look at the evidence, you are not a punter - instead you should say "I am climbing like a punter right now, and that I can change" 😂

Royalty in the house✌️. Louis never had been lifted so nobly. Jakob's a true OG and a genuine nice guy. Watching him working on and eventually topping these freaking hard boulders was amazing. His passion for climbing is immensely infectious. Hats off to the route setters and Louis, who gave his all and put Jakob's skills into perspective.

The better i get in climbing the more it blows my mind how pros can just hold certain positions

When a boulder looks hard on video, it must be so much harder in reality. Jakob looked inhumanly strong on these boulders. Great collab and great video!

I really loved Jakob calling himself a punter. Absolutely relatable that no matter how good you get you'll always focus on failure more than success if you aren't careful.

So cool that people like Jakob and Adam come and try things like this with youtube creators. They also try and arent just there becuase they have to be!

Final score: Jakob Schubert - 34.8, Louis Parkinson - 0

But this definitely made me realize just how strong Louis actually is.

It is so fking insane to see someone like Louis, a person who is 10000000000000000x better than anyone i personally know, struggle hard on things and then have Jakob, make them look at least very doable

That edit at 15:36 😂

@tommeyer3871 1 year ago

This was an amazing video concept. Jakob seemed to really enjoy it too, must be hard finding such limit boulders in gym sets at his level

@dominicschunke 1 year ago (edited)

It's always truly amazing how strong Jakob is! His physique tells you a lot about his dedication to climbing. It looks like we have a lot more to see from him in the future. I would also love to see more videos like this one with him on other channels as well. So inspiring!
