In the past, i could have let it slide. But we have a whole University of YouTube to learn how to do hair. Its unacceptable for the amount of hair this young lady has. Part of motherhood is helping your daughters to care for their hair❤

I remember my WW coworker being pregnant by a BM and scared that she wouldn’t be able to do the baby’s hair. She celebrated when she found out she was having a boy. Just learn instead creating trauma and insecurity

@Rawrxdlolol 9 months ago

he was literally FRYING her hair

@DJ25-g4l 9 months ago

I really didn’t enjoy seeing them keep touching her hair so many hands in her head and no love just bad vibes …There are so many professional people of colour that do fantastic work in the Uk why are these people not researching and finding the right salons .

21:34 “exterminate it again” while referring to someone’s natural hair texture is disrespectful and dehumanizing. Curly/coily/kinky hair is not a rodent or a pest. SMH!!

@Buttercupsk8 9 months ago

This is pissing me off on so many levels 😡

That many passes in rapid succession on one small section of hair is literal murder!

@user-cp5yi8cr5w 9 months ago

They look wicked while playing through her hair.😢

The child's hair was too damaged to go to these people. Chile has no edges. Whoever her guardian was/is needed to work on the health of her hair. I had natural, unpermed hair until I was 18, everyone can't do Black hair. I don't let anyone outside my Mom, sister and daughter touch my hair.

The first thing she needs is someone to sit her down and teach her to love her hair.

The anti-afro verbiage is European-centric and "texturing" demeaning, with no understanding or respect for the first young GIRL's natural hair. Both, the stylist and Mother speak as if her hair isn't growing out of her head! This is sickening 😮

@OrealeXO 9 months ago

I’m just in disbelief at how he saw the first young lady’s hair (which was healthy and beautiful as a fro) as in need of “fixing”, only to make it worse. But for the second young lady with the looser texture, he actually wanted to preserve her hair and not further damage it. When it’s hair that he finds beautiful he rightfully acknowledges that the treatment can be damaging, but when it is hair he does not, the treatment is used to “fix” the hair. Unbelievable!

That baby is about to be baldheaded

"The afro is going"!!? "Now it's comb-able"!!?? Wow what a cheek

@celestialmorpho 9 months ago

he only thought the looser curls were lovely.

@YurinanAcquiline 9 months ago

7:02 I do NOT like how he is combing her hair.

I could feel your anger and frustration through the screen, and for sure, it’s fully warranted. 😕 Few people are worse than those who smother a little girl’s shine before it’s had the chance to grow.

@karlabedminister1674 9 months ago

Sometimes she was coerced by her mother or being teased constantly at home or elsewhere so she decided she wants it changed. He never asked why she wanted it straightened and he kept passing the flat iron with so much heat many times to ensure it was bone straight. He's passive aggressive towards black hair. "If your hair allows it..." as if the hair is stubborn and something is wrong with it. Just playing with someone's hair fluffing it each second isn't styling it. I've said it before, some hair dressers don't know what they're doing. They love to play in hair and want to make money so they open a salon. I watch their hair on their heads before I go in.

@charlesbeatty888 8 months ago

Bottom line. He has no business in black folk hair. Period

I was that little girl. Watching this brought me right back to a time when I just wanted my hair to be “manageable” and didn’t yet understand it, or love it. Growing up, there wasn’t much knowledge around caring for natural hair, and that shaped how I felt about myself for a long time. I’ve been natural for about eight years now, and I’m 35 years old — and I’m honestly just now learning how to truly love my hair. I’m so grateful that the internet, shared experiences, and education have changed my perception — not just of my hair, but of its needs, its beauty, and its ability to grow and thrive. To any young girls watching who may struggle with their relationship with their hair: the time is now to love it. You are beautiful. Your hair is beautiful. Your texture is beautiful. The way it shrinks is beautiful. You are not the problem — your hair never was. 💛
