Did anybody out there watch this movie?

Can't wait for the 1984 remake as a romcom lol

All adaptations are equal
But some adaptations are more equal than others

Counterpoint: Hollywood DOES understand animal farm. They just want to make sure we don't.

"Doesn't underand" is more likely "wants to obscure the message."

This line has a bit of Jean Luc Picard in it (in a good way)... "Let us remain ever vigilant against the desecration of our favorite stories, lest we be the ones to gradually forget their original lessons, and so forget the principles upon which we derive our human freedoms."

I would have preferred Animal Farm 2: The Rise of Chairman Moo.

"Look back over the past, with its changing empires that rose and fell, and you can foresee the future too."
 -Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

Hollywood messed it up?  Shocker

Your videos rock though

Next adaptation: Brave New World
Message: Don't do drugs

The use of, "raise the question" instead of, "beg the question" alone is worthy of 1,000,000 subscribers.

"Donkeys live a long time. None of you has ever seen a dead donkey."
- Benjamin

That always makes me tear up. Benjamin has been through all this before and knows how it will end:

"Life will go on as it has always gone on – that is, badly"
- Benjamin

The Muppets would have done a fantastic Animal Farm movie

I only needed to watch the trailer. It was made quite obvious there that this was not Orwell's story.

Your mention of five-year plans reminded me that "2+2=5" wasn't just something absurd that Orwell made up, it was propaganda by the Soviet government, encouraging workers to produce five years' worth of output in four years.

The problem is that they understand "Animal Farm" perfectly.

All movie adaptations are equal, but some are more equal than others.

What is this, some kinda Animal Farm™?

"Not understanding" and "not liking" are 2 different things. Hollywood is "Animal Farm" brought to life. And we are never the villains in our own stories.

The only way Hollywood is faithful to George Orwell is by actually trying to create 1984 in real life.
