On May 6, 2024, Arisha stopped recognizing her mother, stopped answering questions, and had no idea where she was. A few months later, due to severe stress, Arisha's father developed pancreatitis. Three days later, he passed away. Thus, the life of one family was destroyed by a parasite bite, the dangers of which we are warned about every spring.

Arisha is the second child in the family. Her mother had been unable to conceive for many years, so the birth of her daughter was a true joy for the whole family. The girl grew up very active: she participated in all activities, ran, skied, did gymnastics, and danced. Her older brother taught her to walk and talk, took her to kindergarten, and loved spending time with her.

On April 26, 2024, the family went for a walk in the forest. There, Arisha was bitten by three ticks. One was infected with Lyme disease, the other with tick-borne encephalitis. She was immediately given immunoglobulin and prescribed a course of antibiotics. The doctors did everything correctly. But even so, the risk of developing the disease remains.

And so it happened. Ten days later, the girl developed a fever and weakness. At first, the parents thought it was a common cold. But Arisha's condition rapidly worsened. She stopped recognizing her mother, orienting herself, or answering questions. Convulsions began, and then the girl was transferred to the intensive care unit and placed on a ventilator.

Arisha spent 18 days in intensive care. She survived, but tick-borne meningoencephalitis severely damaged her central nervous system. She could no longer speak, walk, or even hold her head up. For her father, Arisha was the most precious person in the world. He could not bear to see his beloved daughter in such a state. In December 2024, he developed a flare-up of pancreatitis. Three days later, he passed away. His mother was left alone with two children. Now she fights for Arisha's future alone.

And initial successes have already been achieved: the girl has learned to roll over, she is fully conscious, can answer questions in monosyllables, smiles, and even jokes. But to return to her normal life, rehabilitation must continue. The cost of the next course is 2,494,800 rubles.

Watch the video to learn about Arisha and her mother's journey so far, why the medications didn't help, and whether Arisha has a chance for a full recovery. You can support the family on our website. Any donation you make is Arisha's chance for a full, healthy life and a happy future.
